Dutchie here. De Jong literally means the Young. My own last name is de Vries, which although literally translates to the Frost, it's actually usually a misspelled version of the Frisian. So yea weird, but real. De Jong is actually pronounced almost the same as the Young too; muffle the "t" sound and you're already there.

You can fit two slivers of days on each end of that 25 hour period, with a full day in the middle. - People are way to fixated on that international date line, but it barely does anything. It does not determine your midnight. It does not determine your day of the year. It does not determine if you're going to turn your clock back or fourth 24 hours, since not all places have a 24 hour difference on each side of the line. - If you always set your clock to the time difference of the time zone you're in, then the international date line does not exist.

Yes big bone is a city. It is actually called big bone lick. Even worse. It’s a state park and they have bison there. It’s really nice for walking your dogs and camping. I live 15 minutes away from it.

The town Sandwich is actually named after the British Town of Sandwich. The British Town was created before the sandwich was, and basically the Lord of that place, called Lord sandwich, wanted to eat meat with only one hand while playing cards, without getting messy, so he put it in between 2 pieces of bread, then he called it a sandwich
