A Muslim American here and a MAGA, came in legally years ago and got sworn in 2022 for my citizenship after a long wait. The feeling of me voting for the first time, as a US citizen and days before Nov the 5th 2024, was incredibly goosebumping especially casting it for my president, the right candidate: Donald John Trump. On November the 5th, I was on edge and extremely nervous the whole time about the awaited outcome in the evening and possibly the early hours of the next morning, I prayed and prayed over and over the whole time as many Americans did I am sure. I've loved this song since I was a child. I don't know what about it made me teary eyed back then because I didn't have any immediate connection to the military or patriotism in general back then, but 30+ years later it still hits just as hard. The cover by Drew alone was phenomenal, but with Lee, its on a whole diffierent level!! Please @DrewJacobs and @TheLeeGreenwood, you've got to perform this song at the inaugeration!! The only way that moment could be better outside of a DJT victory and this song, is if @TomMacDonald performed "America" right after you!
