When you power into that bottom bracket, does it flex at all? Amazing hot rod. What does it weigh? What do you run your tire pressure at? If these are trade secrets I’m cool, just wondering.im from the early eighties where we had mud and water jumps. I miss the hole shots and psyching people out before the gate drops. Great vid thanks.

There’s almost no flex at all! I haven’t actually weighed it yet, but I need to so I can give everyone an answer haha! I run 90 psi normally.

Curious if you've ever experimented with crank arm length and lap times. I have a small freestyle collection and I swear my 170mm bikes are faster than the 175mm since the pedals draw a smaller circle per rotation. It's sort of a torque vs horsepower thing since they provide slightly less leverage.
@DrewPolkBMX6 ай бұрын
I have. I find the difference between 5mm differences is very minimal. Slight advantages on acceleration or spin, but not enough to make a game-changer. Realistically, the better rider will win on either in most cases. I prefer a shorter crank than most, but it’s just my preference.
@PabloGonzalez-hv3td6 ай бұрын
@@DrewPolkBMX I've heard that assessment from taller riders. I'm barely 5'7" so the 10mm in total length difference is noticeable. My back started to hurt when you said 8" rise bars but I can understand why racers still prefer the lower profile hunched over stance. Memories of the mid school days.

That's one awesome build. The frame alone is a engineer marvel. Im curious though about why you chose cable over hydraulic for you braking?

Yeah…I noticed I missed the seat part. But, seat clamp and seat are both Box. Tubes, I use Bluetech presta. And my gear is pretty standard, it changes every once in a while.
