I’ve been a Reaper fan for years, so it sucked to watch him get taken out like that, but there’s something about DDP that’s made me sort of fond of him. Something about this win makes me want to say fluke, but DDP has been on a roll and has been getting better every fight. He has 20 wins with 19 of those wins via finish, which is an insane stat line. His fight with izzy will be interesting because at the very least, he’ll do as bad as Vettori, but he’s much bigger and more skilled.

He has improved. His footwork is better and his cardio is better as a result of the nose job. He is also more confident. Dricus has always believed in himself and now he can see that belief reflected back at him and he has made winning a habit, no matter how ugly or clumsy it looks. He also has that farm boy strength that you don't get from a gym. When he took Robert down in that headlock he smashed him and it shook Robert to the core. He also kept the pressure on. Yoel has that same strength but doesn't exert the same pressure and Robert was able to pick him off from the pocket.

Whittaker was a tougher matchup for DDP than Izzy is...Did you watch the post fight? It was pretty clear that Adesanya is shook not the other way around. Izzy was shaking like a leaf on a tree his voice was cracking...he was in fight or flight and he wasn't even the one who just got into a fight.
