@@daaichommie708you don't win a fight with emotions, they get in the way every time. DDP might not look like the most technical fighter against ranked ufc fighters, but he is extremely skilled and will capitalize on any mistake. Emotions bring mistakes with them. I couldn't call it before, now i'm definitely siding w dricus. Izzy looks like a scared lamb up there. All it takes is for him to slip up for a second and get knocked dizzy. Then he gets mauled. He's the more technical striker, but he's also for sure outmatched on grappling and striking power
@daaichommie7083 ай бұрын
@@Eminembest4eva1 Don't get me wrong. Im 110% in Dricus' corner and want him to win this fight for multiple reasons. But you know what they say about a scared animal backed into a corner. In that ring, emotion can be a very powerful thing.
@Eminembest4eva13 ай бұрын
@@daaichommie708 i disagree. I don't care who wins, just calling it like i see it. Izzy has a good chance but dricus has a better chance. If izzy gets there where he's "backed into a corner" ie; panic fighting with no plan or strategy, he's in dricus' world. That's what dricus does, throwing himself at his opponents relentlessly. He'll starch izzy quick if it comes to that, that's what i'm saying. It'll look like strickland vs adesanya if strickland had grappling skills and a lot more power. Izzy really only has a very good chance if he keeps him at a distance and stays calm imo. If he gets dricus to stand back and play a technical game, which isn't very likely. Dricus is going to immediately be looking for a way to get close and maul him, and that's not good for izzy in any way if he succeeds. He needs to keep dricus away with counter strikes and feints, and i don't see that happening for 25 minutes

This is it for Izzy. If he losses he's going to have a long road before he might get a shot at the belt again. He seems focused and locked in. Izzy fought like crazy during his run, I think the constant fights and training took a bit of a toll on him and this break has hopefully done him well. You know DDP is coming wit that heat though .Going to be a great fight.

Why they all " leave Nigeria" to better themselves, is it not the whole idea to love your country and make something out of it?? Aren't they capable to make something of there country or they all wanna do nothing and come to countries that have sophisticated it for the last 2000 plus years, ?? That's the easy way out, stay in your country and better it, not ruin ours

Not only that, but then they give all the credit to their birth country. Even though their coaches, training facilities and methods, nutrition, etc. came from where they moved to. Like in Izzy’s case maybe he can say he’s a Nigerian person, but he is not a Nigerian fighter. Sorry but the fighting came from all these other places you went to. And that’s why people are butthurt about dricus’s original comments. Not only is he a South African person, he’s a South African fighter. Not American, not Australian, not British.

feels like the crowd at the press conference caught DDP by suprise, bet he was expecting more support. i think it will be more 50/50 crowd on fight day but it does look like this pro izzy press conference crowd caught DDP a little of guard.

@@knifer310 yeah nah DDP definately won the press conference, no doubt, genius at getting his opponents riled up. i was just commenting on that 1 point i noticed about the croud, he brushed it off pretty well but i think he was slightly disappointed about the crowd cause i think he was hoping to rub it in izzys face that the crowd was on his side. i think the crowd on fight day will be more 50/50. but regardless DDP has the physcological advantage now, not sure how much that will play a part in the fight but still a good advantage to have going into the fight

Anyone's trash talk does nothing to affect DDP. His awkward style makes it very difficult for opponents to prepare for. Also when he kisses his coach on the lips it throws off his opponent as well.
