I fully appreciate the effort put into this by the design team, but it's painfully clear that Dries is gone and that this lacks some of his, oft microscopic, finesse. This feels like a collection from someone who's studied Dries, read the "books", measured with a ruler, memorized the palette...but they don't live inside of his world or his head. What's really missing here is Dries master of proportion. Everything is a little too expected, nothing is electrifying. Its all too young ladylike, whereas Dries really seemed to have all women in mind, especially the ones who didn't want to dress like young ladies. Perhaps that's the tool of a powerful force in the fashion world, someone who can wield boldness. I imagine the team had less freedom at their disposal to really push the envelops that Dries (and some of his contemporaries) was able to as the founder of his own house. What I do like, and what I wait for every season with Dries, is the color and print. Are they done in that otherworldly way that only he could do? No, but they're a breath of fresh air in a season full of neutrals, earth tones and sickly pastels.

On the surface, this seems like a regular Dries show- the layering of prints, the varied colour palette, the luxury fabrics - but as the show unfolds, you begine to realise that something's not quite right. The prints are unmemorable and the colour palette lacks subtlety but it's in the cut of a lot of these garments that the magic is missing. Many of these shapes could have been taken form a Simplicity pattern, they are so basic and the fit is noticeably bad in some of the jackets. When Dries used embroidery, it was something exquisite to behold; here, it's bordering on the kitsch. One of my favourite designers has left the building and I am bereft.

At the beginning I thought that it was the Fall-Winter collection with those autumn colours. Then in second part we started seeing some orange, olive green and light pink. Sorry but I really dislike fashion shows for Spring 2025. They are so said and boring with such many ugly mono colours. I don’t know what kind of wind is blowing in their mind to create us such uniforms.😢

It's the same old thing, something that didn't work, the colors, the jackets, the prints, and the mixes, the collaboration with Christian Lacroix was a disaster and everything is over.
