Looks mint! Im looking at these too how do you find the roof racks holding the weight of the roof top tent mounted at the front of the car instead of on the canopy like some people like to mount it at the rear? Do you find petrol alot more litres per 100kms with it at the front? I hope its not to bad 😊

The racks handle it easily. We had to fit to the front due to axle weight as we tow a caravan. Not sure about fuel difference. Can be noisy at times while travelling. I hope this helps. We still love our rooftop tent.

Great to hear it helped - there is so much to look into. Would love to know what you choose in the end. Upload a pic onto our Facebook page when you get it sorted. Happy Travels xx

I loved your set up. I have the tent I'm kin to get the jooca ensuite to match with the shower. One cheap tip I can give you to improve your set up, get a cheap ultralight hiking tarp 3x3 and attach to the top of the tent and make a awning in front of the tent. Similar to the awning that drifta sells, works out great!

Cheers, we love our RTT & ensuite. Thanks for the tip - great idea for a quick trip. However, we do have the 270 awning with walls that works well. We show this off for the first time in Episode 53 Loveday 4x4

Just a tip on what I did on mine. I took the hooks out and just put the last step on top of the bracket
@madaussieadventures9 ай бұрын
Did you take the hooks out, so you're not restricted where the ladder is placed?

Cheers, I'll give that a crack! 👍😎👍

Just wondering what material did you use for the flooring?
@madaussieadventuresАй бұрын
Apologies for the delayed reply. We used 3mm composite panel, however since then we ended up buying the boarding that Drifter supply. It's actually lighter and warmer.

Hi, are you able to recommend what type of flooring to be use to cover the soft floor and what matress did you buy? Thanks

Hi, Gibbo will get back to you soon.

I've just purchased drifta's base and there new air matress. I will review after I install and use for a couple of months.

Hi mate, I have problems with the door. The way you need to fully open the zipper to get in is really annoying with mosquitos. Do you have similar problem? I even thinking to a canvas shop to ask to modify the door position
@madaussieadventures9 ай бұрын
I'll get Gibbo to get back to you on this one, but I understand what your saying. A zip that goes almost all the way around would be good, so you can open just the left of the right. We hope your enjoying your RTT - it opens up a whole new world hey. Certainly over the swag. LOL

No mate, I've personally never had any problems with the door.

2 Rhino rack vortex bars.

Please double check your roof rack rating for intended use. Those Vortex Rhino racks are good for 75 kg on the bitumen and 50 kg for offroad use.

Hi Guys, what size is your RRT? Is it the 1.2 or 1.4?
@madaussieadventures7 ай бұрын
Sorry for the delayed response. It's the 1.2 - plenty of room for us both.
