so do both these cars use same exact tire sizes as 144001??? i bought brushless esc/motor for a 144001 but esc is to big imo...would have to hack body to make work which i do not want to do...I will probably just buy a 124019 and put the brushless setup in it... thanks for sharing

Now on these car the fronts are smaller width than the rears and I think on the 144001 they are the same all round. Go for the 124019 if going brushless as the extra 5cm in length means brushless goes from being mega squeeze to really easy fit

I love my 124019! What a great hobby grade car for the money. And they are easy to mode as well. I love the sweet looking aluminum chassis as well. Just a nice running car out of the box. My shocks were filled with the proper amount of oil from the factory. I did not check the diffs because taking them apart looks like a time consuming job. Hey if I blow out the differentials I will upgrade them with the many options that are out there.

so how fast was the stock 144001 you tested? 32??? or less on stock 2s? one thing i know is the stock motor gets very hot when car is run pretty hard... i did add a better esc and my stock radio and destroyed the motor,so i highly recommend if you want a car faster than 32 mph convert to brushless... for around $40 for brushless esc and motor 4300 -4400kv you can achieve over 45 mph on stock battery...which is insane speed for an off road buggy this size imo..

On 3S the 144001 hit 40mph back in the day as I recall. If you search my 144001 videos you should find it as one of the earliest ones. It hit around 30 on 2S as I recall. I've done a lot of work on the 124019 and run 3 of them at present one of which has run 99mph on 2s brushless setup

At 30 mph I don’t think there’s enough aerodynamic drag to load up the motor. Having said that it wouldn’t limit the speed at that level. 90 mph would be a different story.

I think you're right, I can safely say having both cars converted to brushless the 124019 races ahead as the speed builds (99 out of it so far and 68 for the 124018)

Wish I would have known I was buying a buggy that was going to fry after three runs. Wl should make a stock motor that don't run at 2000 degrees. Getting another arrma. More play and less spinning teeny little screws just to get the cage off. It's really fast but an absolute hassle. That's the truth

I went for the sidewinder 4, 6900Kv combo, that said I've a 3.5T brushless motor coming with adjustable timing, which should be here by Sat, if it does arrive I'll test it Sunday
