Maddie Brown i just watched it cause i love them but its always fun (for me at least)to see what they fucked up on.... thats not a proper position of attention, drill seargents are supposed to have a drill sargent insignia on their right chest pocket, those are haircuts need to be cut down so that the hairs are not touching the ear, those "snakes" on their boots (shoelaces) needs to be tucked into the boot itself, thats not the correct way to get into the push up position, definetly thats not how you recover from it as well, however i fucking love snl and its just a things i like to do kinda if ur really passionate about something and someone recreates it you would want to look for the mistakes they did lol specially here on the comment section EVERYONE will point out if you misspelled something

I’m 99% sure that the chili cookout part was just Alec Baldwin messing up his line, but the way he corrected himself made it 10 times funnier. It happens all the time during snl because the skits are performed live, so normally they just ignore it and keep going, but he was able to turn it into a line that totally could’ve been scripted. As a veteran myself I spotted mistakes but it didn't bother me as much. They are not insulting or disrespecting soldiers. Out of the Army, collecting VA disability, got a couple of college degrees, here for a good laugh or two and nothing else. Those that are criticizing the skit or the people that didn't do their homework when it came to standing at attention when calling soldiers to attention or wearing unit patches in training it's just a skit. Hey maybe they didn't think about it past the uniform.
