I think the best accessory to this drill is that light setting, the Dewalt hammer drill I bought 9 years ago didn't have that. While doing house repairs at end of day that bright light has really helped, give the guy at Dewalt who added that feature a bonus............

Job38 Four, I couldn’t agree more. I was wrapping up a big plumbing job the other day and ran out of daylight and the drill was close by and it was very helpful to finish up. -Steve

This is a great video! Thanks a lot. 2 years old but still great! I heard that the DeWalt Clutch is not working properly, especially on the lowest settings like gear 1 and clutch 1. For example, you're working with cabinet doors and you're just driving some small screws. Instead of stopping when it faces a resistance it just goes all the way down. No matter if it's set to the most sensitive settings. Have you faced something similar?

I don't use the clutch feature in daily life. I use the impact driver for screws. Sorry, I don't have any tips on using it for small screws. If you are doing jobs like small cabinet screws, I will go with a smaller drill with less power so you can dial it in better. This heavy-duty hammer drill is best for drilling.

Hi, great video. what are recommendations for best bits for 1) cement, 2) metal, 3) wood. what about attachments for the 887 impact driver? tx
@TwistedToolbox7 ай бұрын
In general colbalt bits last longer for metal and wood. For cement drilling, I stick to the higher end bits since the carbide doesn't melt down right away like the cheaper bits do. My favorite attachment for the 887 impact driver is the flexible 90 degree adapter. I work in lots of tight spaces and that adapter makes the jobs much easier. amzn.to/3wqmaoB

Is this drill also good for screw like for example if i want to put a wood board up with screws on my house outside on brick or concrete?

@@TwistedToolbox nice, I’ve got other Dewalt tools that have been great, batteries that came my drill also died. Feels like a bad batch. I’m going to see where I can get with the 3 yr warranty. Thanks friend. W

@@ItsWesSmithYo I would definitely be following up with the warranty too if my tool broke that soon.

@@TwistedToolbox yeah they have a 3 year, so we’ll see how it goes, good info for anyone that might be in a similar spot.

FYI, warranty was a fail, basically said parts aren’t available, can’t be fixed, no replacement, so that’s a wrap. That’s a drill, a weed whacker, and a big battery. That’s about $20/month for the time they lasted, not bad I guess. I will say they worked like a charm while they were alive.
