The formation you had at the end could have been greatly improved by swapping Bruenor for Calliope and Celeste for Krull: That would have placed all the positional buffs¹ on Jarlaxle, who was the best DPS you could afford. One thing to remember is that you shouldn't just look at damage per hit. Also important are how often they attack, (e.g. Jarlaxle attacks every 5s to Spurt's 7.5s), and how they attack, (e.g. Spurt attacks a single mob, Jarlaxle keeps attacking with reduced damage until he doesn't get a kill). Good DPS choices will either attack very often, score multiple hits with each attack², or both. 1: Bruenor = Same column, Calliope = Column ahead, Celeste and Spurt = Adjacent. Krull mostly doesn't care where he is, and what little he does involves champions in seats 10, (Torogar, who you don't have), and 12, (Arkhan). 2: There are three ways this can happen. The attack can be an area of effect, (e.g. Nayeli does a sweep with her sword, hitting any mobs near her main target), simply hit multiple mobs, (e.g. Jarlaxle's multiple strikes), or launch multiple attacks at once, (e.g. Calliope 'fires' two notes with her attack).

Wow, chakatfirepaw--you are the best with these Idle Champions tips! You are giving me so much to think about haha. I am really playing the game wrong lol. I will try and get better at formations ASAP ;D

Nice Vid! So the champions are all assigned a slot 1-12. Spurt who you unlocked with the promo is a slot 3 champion. This website has all the champions listed in order of their release. ( idlechampions.fandom.com/wiki/Champions ) But you can sort by, say Slot by clicking on the slot button at top. This is handy for a feature you will unlock later that will want at least 2 Champions per slot. So the game should help ya try to understand special events ( the every 3 week event that lets you unlock 1 new champion and 2 from past years, which will be new for you unless you got them in that promo. ) Even if ya have the Champion in the event you want to unlock the variant missions. They drop gold chests with gear for that champion if you can reach the goal. Since you opened all those chests with the promo you have a boat load of stuff in your inventory. The inventory button is the small backpack looking button next to the familiar and jukebox button. You were happy with that small amount of gold from that one chest, well there is a tone of gold sitting in your inventory in the form of Bounties. If you wanting to see the gear of your champions and the gear slots you need to click on the Diamond shaped blue button in the upper left called Collections. Another later part of the game is Patrons. To do their missions they have requirements to open up their patronage. One of Requirements is called loot lvl. They mean the total of the lvls of all your gear. Last bit is the little blue button on top of your click damage you can set it up so the Champions will only show when they are ready to Upgrade, instead of having to lvl them 1 lvl at a time. ( BTW your familiars are doing your click damage, you don't need to click while using them.) Keep up the good vids!

Ohh, awesome! Thank you so much for all of these amazing tips! I see, so I need a swap for all of the champions... I don't have any for 1-2 atm. Gold chests with gear sound amazing--I gotta try for those and check out my inventory!
