🇫🇯 Is it common to be fed cake on your birthday in Fiji? In this episode, I learn more about the process of serving #kava (in 10 steps). We dance to #fijianmusic. We introduce the kids of the village to musical statues. This video gives a great idea of how happy Fijians are - look at their faces, so many smiles. Can you tell we had fun?
Last summer, I spent a month in FIJI. I had a crazy experience! I joined a team of volunteers with @thinkpacific. Our mission was to build a health clinic for a rural village. In exchange, the villagers welcomed us into their homes and showed us their incredible way of life.

In 2016, Storm Winston destroyed much of Fiji, including my Fijian family's church. Alex (one of my fellow volunteers) is currently hiking 3000km across New Zealand to raise money to repair it...
