Drinking Sri Lankan Moonshine (Kithul Toddy) then White Water Rafting in Kithulgala 🇱🇰

My first time drinking Kithul Toddy (Raa), a fermented drink in Sri Lanka. I wasn't sure what it was at the time but I was up for trying it. The funniest part is that this was first thing in the morning right after waking up and brushing my teeth. Turns out it's a fermented plant which makes it alcohol. What a way to start the day! Kind of like a Sri Lankan moonshine. It actually tastes quite good.
Then we continued the day with a white water rafting adventure and canyoning through a river and waterfalls.

There is a tradition with toddy. The tapper is drinking first shot when you are going to drink toddy . After that only he is serving to others. It is showing that the drink is safe for you. The person who brought the toddy is also doing the same thing...

If you wonder why those guys drink from each the Toddy bottle, it's because of the Sri Lankan custom. Toddy was consumed for thousands of years in Sri Lanka and even your enemy could bring you toddy to poison you. So if you offer Toddy as a friend you first drink and show others that it's safe to drink. For even "Kasippu", villagers do that.

Please visit Negombo, taste the worlds best fresh fish and seafood dishes. You can find giant mud crabs in lagoon area. Tiger prawns, Green Muscles, Mud Crabs, Squids, Cuttlefish, Tuna, Seer, Mullet, Baracuda and many more edible sea monsters. Negombo Airport-> Colombo-> Down South->Ella-> Nuwaraeliya->Kandy-> Kithulgala-> Sigiriya-> Anuradhapura-> Jaffna->Colombo-> Negombo Airport and Fnally you missed Negombo Seafood Tou can vist all the places above mentioned from Negombo within macimum of 4-5 hours.
