Dripping Guttering? Watch this 'How to Install Drip Edge Boards for Log Cabins, Sheds...'

We had lots of drips coming under the guttering on our Log Cabin. After years of putting up with the drips and also starting to rot the wood, we found these Drip Edge boards on Amazon

I install a lot of eave protectors and would have made at least a 40mm over lap on each protector. Apart from that, good job 👍

Thanks for the vid I'm doing a bit of a restoration and was finding a fair bit of water getting behind the gutters back into the house. Seen these at screwfix and wickes as support trays. I'll be getting some tomorro

Excellent mate just the product I'm after for a similar problem 👍the facia on my small extension have raised the guttering to far away from the tile overhang and has cause major splash wear at ground level.

I would have done a slight overlap on each board then silicone sealed them in but good work. I have also used a roll of damp proof course membrane which is wide enough to go right under the shingles and down into the gutter without any need to fix joins as it goes from one end to the other.

You had the nice wide stuff, you should of covered more of the gutter to keep leaves and debris out, and I would have lifted the corners of a few shingles and put some roofing nails in just in case a high wind pulls those out..

It would be a good idea to get some leaf guards on those gutters also the moss on the roof is not too good for the shingles I would get that off too if I were you

I'm going to use these on my summerhouse, so there's four sides to do. What's the way to cut / shape them when it comes to them meeting at the corners please?.

Does anyone know if you can do this method with a felt roof? As in lift the felt up and squeeze these under?

Poorest drip edge I'e ever seen ! The hump @ the shingle edge is going to cause more moisture under the shingles which is going to help grow more moss on the shingles. Which will lead to condensation under the drip edge which will rot the decking and eventually rot the carnish and the fascia. Each to their own I suppose, thought shedding the water was the goal not daming it at the eave.
