@DrishtiIASEnglish
@DrishtiIASEnglish Жыл бұрын
Hello! @@Rehan1278 The syllabus for UPSC IAS does not change every year. It remains mostly the same, with some minor changes or additions. So, you can start preparing for the exam even without a degree, but you will be only eligible to appear in the examination after your Graduation and with age criteria of 21 years old. Here are some tips for your preparation: 1) It is important to understand the syllabus and exam pattern before starting your preparation. 2) As you do not have a degree, it is advisable to start from the basics of every subject. This will help you to build a strong foundation. 3) Keep yourself updated with the current affairs and events of national and international importance. 4) Writing practice is important for the mains exam. You should practice writing essays, answers to questions, and other descriptive answers. 5) Take mock tests: It is essential to take mock tests regularly to assess your preparation level and work on your weaknesses. NCERT is considered as a base of your preparation as our NCERT course is specifically designed to help students prepare for the UPSC exam from scratch as this course is meant to develop a basic understanding of the Civil Services Examination through NCERT Books and covers the syllabus from 6 to 12th Class, so this will act as a base for the preparation of the Civil Services Examination & other competitive exams as well. We hope these tips help you in your preparation. All the best!

Hello! It's great to hear that you are planning to prepare for UPSC and seeking guidance for your journey. Here are some suggestions to help you get started: 1) Build a strong foundation: Start by focusing on the basics of the UPSC syllabus. This includes understanding the exam pattern, familiarizing yourself with the subjects and topics, and developing a study plan. Begin with NCERT books, which are considered fundamental for building a strong foundation. 2) Current affairs: Stay updated with current affairs through newspapers, news magazines, and reliable online sources. Make a habit of reading and analyzing news articles regularly. 3) Optional subject selection: Since you are pursuing a BSc in PCM, it's important to choose an optional subject that aligns with your interests and strengths. Research different subjects and their syllabus to make an informed decision. Regarding our offline classes, we conduct offline classes in various locations, Karol Bagh, Mukherjee Nagar Delhi, Prayagraj & Jaipur. To get detailed information about the offline courses, you can visit our website by clicking on the link here: www.drishtiias.com/ or reach out to us at 8010-440-440. We will provide you with accurate information about the location, course details, and admission procedures. Stay focused, dedicated, and seek help whenever needed. Wishing you all the best for your journey towards UPSC!

Hey! Hope you are doing well! NCERT textbooks are considered an essential resource for the preparation of the UPSC civil services examination, especially for the preliminary and mains exams. It is recommended that candidates read NCERT textbooks for classes 6th to 12th for various subjects such as History, Geography, Economics, Polity, Science, and Mathematics. However, it's important to note that merely reading the NCERT textbooks is not enough to clear the exam. The NCERT textbooks provide a good foundation for the understanding of concepts, but candidates also need to supplement their preparation with other relevant study materials, newspapers, and magazines. As for the time required to complete all the NCERT textbooks, it varies from person to person and depends on various factors such as the speed of reading, level of understanding, and the amount of time dedicated to studying each day. Generally, it takes several months to a year to complete all the NCERT textbooks, depending on the level of dedication and effort put in by the candidate. If you'd like to have a more in-depth discussion on the admission procedure & fees, simply fill out this form by clicking the link below. Hey! Hope you are doing well! It' great to hear that you want to start your UPSC preparation. Since you have passed 12th class now, you have enough time to prepare for UPSC Civil Services Exam. So concentrate on your academic education for the time being, but you can begin working on current affairs and writing abilities right away, as the syllabus for the Current Affairs in Civil Services Examination is very wide and, requires a long preparation time. We recommend that you set aside enough time for this, regardless of the college you choose. Thank you!

Hey! Hope you are doing well! As a 12th class student, you have plenty of time to start preparing for the IAS exams. It's important to balance your academic studies with IAS preparation. Here are the steps that you can follow while continuing your studies: 1) Read and understand the IAS syllabus and familiarize yourself with the exam pattern. 2) Focus on developing strong language skills in English and Hindi. 3) Read books and newspapers regularly to stay updated on current events, national, and international issues. 4) Develop your critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 5) Participate in extracurricular activities such as debates, quiz competitions, and essay writing contests to improve your overall knowledge and presentation skills. In addition, it is important to practice improving your writing style. You can adopt many easy ways to develop your writing style. The easiest way is to read an article of 1000-1500 words published in a newspaper or magazine carefully and then write the essence in about 250-300 words. Hey, Hope you are doing well! Starting your UPSC preparation with NCERTs is definitely a good approach as they provide a strong foundation in various subjects. They cover essential concepts in a clear and concise manner, which is beneficial for beginners. However, joining a coaching class can complement your self-study by providing structured guidance, expert insights, and additional resources that may enhance your preparation. It can also save you time by streamlining your study process and ensuring you cover all relevant topics thoroughly. Ultimately, the decision depends on your individual learning style, time availability, and budget. If you feel that joining a coaching class aligns with your goals and preferences, it could indeed be a valuable investment in your UPSC journey. If you'd like to have a more in-depth discussion on the subject, simply fill out this form by clicking the link below. We'll give you a call back: drishti.link/social-media-community-Form . In essay section ... Is there regional language ? Can we appear both essays in English,?
@DrishtiIASEnglish
@DrishtiIASEnglish 11 ай бұрын
Hey! Hope you are doing well! In the UPSC Civil Services Main Examination, the essay paper does not have a provision for answering in a regional language. You are expected to write both essays in the same language, either both in English or in the chosen regional language. Mixing languages is generally not recommended and may affect the clarity and coherence of your essays. Therefore, it's advisable to choose one language for both essays and stick to it for the entire paper. For More details you can check out the official UPSC notification here: upsc.gov.in/sites/default/files/Notif-CSP-23-engl-010223.pdf at page no: 31

@DrishtiIASEnglish
@DrishtiIASEnglish Жыл бұрын
Hey! Hope you are doing well! It's great that you're thinking about starting your UPSC preparation early! The UPSC exam is one of the toughest exams in India, and it requires a lot of dedication and hard work to crack it. As a second-year BTech student, you still have time on your side, and we would suggest you start preparing for the exam as soon as possible. To prepare for UPSC, you need to have a strong foundation in General Studies, which is the core of the UPSC syllabus. You can start by reading newspapers regularly, which will help you stay updated with current affairs. You should also start reading NCERT books for history, geography, polity, and economics. NCERT books are an excellent source of information and will give you a solid foundation for your preparation. Apart from that, You may consider our online GS Foundation Course (Prelims+Mains) that provides over 1000 hours of classes, with each class spanning 2.5 hours. The best part is that you can watch the classes as many times as you want and clear your doubts with their dedicated doubt clearance support. Hey! Hope you are doing well! Yes, you are eligible to appear for the UPSC examination with a graduation degree in agricultural engineering. The UPSC eligibility criteria require candidates to have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university in any discipline. Since you have completed a 3-year diploma followed by a 3-year degree program in agricultural engineering, it fulfills the requirement of a recognized graduation degree. @DrishtiIASEnglish Жыл бұрын
Hey! Hope you are doing well! The choice of optional subject for the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) in the UPSC Civil Services Examination is a personal decision and should be based on your interests, strengths, and background knowledge. While there is no specific "best" optional subject for the IFS, certain subjects are commonly chosen by aspirants with an interest in international relations and diplomacy. It's important to note that the choice of the optional subject should be based on your genuine interest, prior knowledge, and the availability of study material. Additionally, thorough preparation, understanding of current affairs, and a holistic approach to the examination are crucial regardless of the optional subject chosen. Hope this helps you in decision making

Hey! Hope you are doing well! We understand that starting UPSC preparation can be overwhelming, but with proper guidance, you can build a strong foundation for your journey. Here are some steps to help you get started: 1)Familiarize yourself with the three stages of the UPSC exam - Prelims, Mains, and the Interview. Understand the syllabus and the subjects you need to cover. 2) Begin your preparation with NCERT books of History, Geography, Economy, Polity, and Science from classes 6 to 12. These books provide essential concepts and form the basis for advanced studies. 3)Once you have a solid foundation, move on to standard reference books for each subject. For example, you can refer to books by renowned authors for History, Geography, Polity, Economy, and Environment. 4)Regularly read newspapers like The Hindu or The Indian Express to stay updated on current affairs. 5)While studying, make concise notes for each subject. These notes will serve as a quick revision tool during the exam preparation. 6)UPSC Mains requires good answer writing skills. Practice writing answers to previous years' question papers to improve your writing style and time management. 7)Enroll in a reliable test series to evaluate your preparation and identify areas of improvement. Regularly appearing for mock tests will boost your confidence for the actual exam. Remember that UPSC preparation requires dedication and hard work. Don't be disheartened by challenges, and keep pushing forward. With the right approach and determination, you can achieve your goal of becoming an IAS officer. Best of luck in your UPSC journey!

Hello! Aditya It's completely normal to feel scared or nervous about pursuing a goal as challenging as the UPSC exam. However, it's important to remember that fear should not hold you back from pursuing your dreams. Instead, it should motivate you to work harder and smarter towards achieving your goals. To overcome your fear, start by breaking down the preparation process into smaller, more manageable steps. Begin by familiarizing yourself with the UPSC exam pattern, syllabus, and previous year question papers. Set a study schedule and stick to it, making sure to allocate enough time for each subject and topic. Moreover, Do not hesitate to ask if you need any guidance or support during your preparation journey. You may consider joining a coaching institute if you aren't able to prepare in well structured manner or study group can also help you stay motivated and focused throughout the preparation journey. Remember, success in the UPSC exam is not only about academic knowledge, but also about developing the right attitude, discipline, and perseverance. So, stay positive, keep working hard, and believe in yourself. Good luck!

@DrishtiIASEnglish Жыл бұрын
Hello! Hope you are doing well! In the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) examination, English is one of the language options available for both Paper 1 (General Studies) and Paper 2 (CSAT). You have the choice to answer the questions in English or in any of the other listed languages mentioned by the UPSC. For the Prelims (Paper 1), the questions are generally in English as well as Hindi. You can answer the questions in English, even if the question is presented in Hindi. For the Mains examination, which includes descriptive papers, you can choose to write your answers in English for the all GS papers. The medium of writing answers will be the same. As English is considered one of the official languages for the exam, you are not required to write in any other language unless you specifically choose to do so. Remember to stay updated with the official UPSC notifications and guidelines, as they provide the most accurate and reliable information for your preparation. Best of luck with your UPSC journey!

@DrishtiIASEnglish Жыл бұрын
Absolutely, it is possible to clear the UPSC exam without relying solely on tuition and with the guidance of KZbin channels. However, it's important to note that preparing exclusively through KZbin may not provide you with a comprehensive understanding of all the subjects and topics covered in the UPSC exam. It is advisable to utilize a combination of resources for a well-rounded preparation. Here's a study plan that incorporates various resources: 1) Familiarize yourself with the UPSC exam syllabus to know the subjects and topics you need to cover. 2) Create a realistic and consistent study schedule that allows you to allocate sufficient time to each subject. 3) Identify standard reference books for each subject and include them in your study plan. These books provide in-depth knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of the topics. 4) Utilize the Drishti KZbin channel for concept clarity, explanations, and supplementary learning materials. They can help you understand complex topics in a simplified manner. 5) Stay updated with current affairs by reading newspapers, monthly magazines, and reliable online sources. This will help you develop a strong foundation in current affairs, which is an important part of the UPSC exam. 6) Practice solving mock tests and previous year papers regularly to gauge your understanding of the subjects, improve time management, and familiarize yourself with the exam pattern. 7) Engage in online study groups or forums where you can discuss doubts, exchange study materials, and interact with fellow aspirants. This will provide a platform for peer learning and support. 8) If you have chosen an optional subject, refer to specific books recommended for that subject to gain in-depth knowledge. Hope this information helps you!

Is essay paper and English compolsry and indian language paper all are different
@DrishtiIASEnglish
@DrishtiIASEnglish Жыл бұрын
Hey! Hope you are doing well! Yes, the essay paper, English language paper, and Indian language paper are different components of the UPSC exam. The essay paper is a part of the General Studies paper in the UPSC exam, and it tests the candidate's ability to express their thoughts and ideas in a structured and coherent manner. The essay paper carries a weightage of 250 marks. The English language paper is a qualifying paper that tests the candidate's basic understanding of English grammar, comprehension, and vocabulary. The marks obtained in this paper are not counted towards the candidate's final score but are required to qualify for the mains exam. The Indian language paper is also a qualifying paper that tests the candidate's basic understanding of the chosen Indian language, which is one of the 22 languages specified in the Indian Constitution. The marks obtained in this paper are also not counted towards the candidate's final score but are required to qualify for the mains exam. Therefore, while the essay paper, English language paper, and Indian language paper are all different components of the UPSC exam, they are all important for a candidate to qualify for the mains exam and ultimately score well in the exam. Hope this information helps!

@DrishtiIASEnglish Жыл бұрын
Hey! Hope you are doing well! No, it is not mandatory to complete graduation before attempting to crack the UPSC examination. The minimum educational qualification required to appear for the UPSC Civil Services Examination is a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. However, candidates who are in their final year of graduation or awaiting the results can also apply for the examination. While having a graduation degree provides a strong foundation of knowledge and skills, it is ultimately your preparation, aptitude, and dedication that will determine your success in the UPSC examination. Many candidates have cleared the exam without completing their graduation by focusing on effective preparation and acquiring a deep understanding of the syllabus. It is important to note that clearing the UPSC examination requires extensive study, thorough understanding of concepts, current affairs knowledge, strong analytical and writing skills, and effective time management. So, while a graduation degree is not a prerequisite, it is beneficial in providing a broader understanding of various subjects that are part of the UPSC syllabus.

Hey! Hope you are doing well! Both your BA degree in distance and your 2-year diploma in pharmacy are valid qualifications. However, when it comes to UPSC eligibility, the minimum requirement is a bachelor's degree from a recognized university. As long as your BA degree is from a recognized university, it will fulfill the eligibility criteria for appearing in the UPSC exam. The diploma in pharmacy can be an additional qualification that may contribute to your overall knowledge and skills, but it is not a mandatory requirement for UPSC. Focus on your BA degree and ensure that it is from a recognized institution to meet the UPSC eligibility criteria. For more information please contact us at: 8010-440-440.

Hey! Hope you are doing well! Yes, you can apply for the UPSC examination if you are 20 years old and will turn 21 before a specific cutoff date. In addition to meeting the age requirement, there are other eligibility criteria you need to fulfill. These include being a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India. You should also have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. The number of attempts allowed for each category of candidates is limited, and specific physical standards may apply for certain services like the Indian Police Service (IPS) and the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). Hey! Hope you are doing well! Yes, the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) has negative marking for incorrect answers in the preliminary examination of the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) Civil Services Exam. For each incorrect answer, one-third of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted as negative marking. However, there is no negative marking for unanswered questions, so candidates can choose to leave a question unanswered if they are not sure about the answer.

Hi Ram, Hope you are doing well! It is great to come across an aspirant like you! You must be aware of the fact that it is mandatory to have a graduation degree or have equilavalent qualification from a recognised institution. As far as the criteria of age is concerned, the candidate should be 21 years old or above and less than 32 to be able to appear in the UPSC Civil Services Examination. Since you are in your 12th, you have enough time to appear in the UPSC Civil Services Exam, till then you can focus in your academic study by following these steps: We suggest you to follow below steps to speed up your preparation with your academic study going on: 1) Focus on your academic education now, but still, you can work on Current affairs and your writing skills from now on, as the syllabus of the Current Affairs in Civil Services Examination is very wide and, requires a long preparation time. 2)You can start reading current affairs from newspapers, magazines, government websites, press releases, etc. So, you can prepare for complete current affairs by following our website, magazine, and KZbin channel of Drishti IAS. In addition, it is important to practice improving your writing style. You can adopt many easy ways to develop your writing style. The easiest way is to read an article of 1000-1500 words published in a newspaper or magazine carefully and then write the essence in about 250-300 words. This exercise will improve your writing style as well as the abbreviation skills that play an effective role in this test. Thanks

In addition to educational qualifications, candidates must also meet the age limits and nationality criteria set by the UPSC. Candidates must be between 21 and 32 years of age as of August 1 of the year of examination. Age relaxation is provided to candidates belonging to certain categories, such as SC/ST/OBC and ex-servicemen. Candidates must also be Indian citizens or hold a citizenship certificate from the Government of India or Nepal/Bhutan. So, if you meet these eligibility criteria, you are eligible to write the UPSC exam with your diploma in electrical engineering. However, it is important to note that the UPSC exam is highly competitive, and candidates are required to prepare thoroughly and diligently for the exam. Hope this information helps you!
