The LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana is a transformative initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aimed at empowering women economically. This program targets women aged between 18 to 70 years who have completed at least the 10th grade. The scheme involves 3 years of training, where participants will learn about the importance of insurance and how to promote it within their communities. During this training period, women will earn over ₹2 lakh, with payments of ₹7,000 in the first year, ₹6,000 in the second, and ₹5,000 in the third year. After completing the training, women will be able to work as LIC insurance agents and potentially become development officers if they hold a degree. This initiative seeks to provide financial literacy, promote self-reliance, and contribute to rural economic development. Women enrolled in the program will also be responsible for selling insurance policies while ensuring that these policies remain active. To apply, women can visit the official LIC website and follow the outlined process.
