Crawler Canyon Quick(re)view: Re-Volt 3D inserts for 2.2" Canyon Trail

Straight outta Belgium! These are NOT off-the-shelf inserts, but rather printed for a specific tire for a specific application. Which is how they should be. I love me a 2.2 Canyon Trail, because they are outstandingly versatile, and easily found.

What a Re-Voltin' development. Printed inserts really are the best of all worlds - performance, durability, resistance to the elements, ease of customization, etc. These are reasonably priced and even cheaper if you print your own. Great find!

I have a set of ReVolt inserts in my PL Baja Pro X's are so so good, Like CC mine also needed either longer screws or in my case a tire tool to compress them. I had him make me a new set just slightly narrower in the ring area so I will see how they do when I get home. Absolutely they are worth every penny and I wont run anything else now.

Found the file on cult3d with a link to this video, your video definitely convinced me to buy the file and idk how I never came across your channel before. Just got done printing, installing and testing them, man what a difference they make on my trx4 sport high trail, and it's around 10-11lbs. If you have the ability to print them yourself do it, if you can't order them from revolt. I used Polymaker 95a tpu for the inners and esun 83a tpe outer,

If you like these D440 has the designs for these if not similar. It's usually something like 92 inner TPU and 87 outer. They work great on 2.2 deepwoods

Dang it, no 5 tonight. Vanquish live ran over. I did ask why they can't do the ala carte' thing. They said they thought about it. I think it boils down to packaging and profit. I said offer Ala carte' at different pricing tiers.

@themountain59 not if they did price tiers. $399 you get these 2 frames, or 3 different axles, 2 transmission choices. $499 you get these choices, and so on. It's a bit more distribution but not worse then someone making a regular order. Ala carte orders only one day a week, and limiting the amount of choices in each tier. Add on additional costs for upgrades inside each tier. For how many people order vanquish specific special parts not much would change except the profit margin. There is a reason the H10 comes with those pot metal gears, or the stance has spaghetti noodles for links. I'm not upset I want to see vanquish successful. I just hope in doing so they don't forget about their devoted core. Like Mr C said, just bring back the roller kit. I don't want to build 5 Toyota fjs, but I love the phoenix chassis.

Properly sized, sure. But the Canyon RT is about the same size as a 1.9, just on a bigger wheel. So the insert for the 2.2 Canyon is never fitting in the RT.
