Watched the open matte tonight by accident but I knew something was off about the stream. This really looks amazing in full widescreen

The mexican BD is distributed by this company called Videomax. All of their BD's have some type of mistake, changed resolution, missing Latino Dub or something to talk about. I don't really know where they take the masters from but some Mexican editions have Open Matte that I didn't knew it was weird (like Dredd, that has this weird Open Matte, reframed, pan&scan conbination). When I uploaded the full BD of this film, I didn't knew how weird it was, because I always watched the film this way, but now, still years after the first upload, people talk about it

In the normal version you can't see the workers behind the police scene, in the same way that in the normal version it looks like there is only one lamp when in fact there are 3 lamps, in the same way none of the advertisements above the store appear in the normal version, in the same way you can't see Irene in the car with her hands and feet outstretched, in the same way you can't see the lamps in the back, in the same way a painting seems to be missing the writing and you can never read what it says. But in the clear matte version you can see them easily. Likewise, you need to watch the IMAX or Open Matte version to see references to posters etc. in Marvel movies. In the same way, you miss a lot of environmental details by watching the Harry Potter movie in 21:9. There is an IMAX theater where I live, but they dim the lights by 25-50% compared to normal imax theaters. And the sound system is worse than normal. So I keep an IMAX or Open Matte version of my favorite movies on a hard drive. I love watching Open Matte on an OLED screen at home, especially this movie. This is my favorite movie, dudes.

I have this Blu Ray, I haven't seen it in many years but for a while this was the only way I watched this movie so I never noticed that it was different from the official. I had to get it out of a box cause I was thinking about giving it away to check it and it is the Open Matte version, I guess this is destiny
