How did this town get its name?
@ontheroadagain12 жыл бұрын
From Edward Shippen, he was a prominent resistance in Lancaster.

Was it a big shipping area?
@ontheroadagain12 жыл бұрын
I couldn't find anything about that. According to google, it was the home of the Beistle Company, the oldest manufacturer of decorations and party goods in the U.S

Are those Amish people in the carriages or mennonites? Or?
@ontheroadagain12 жыл бұрын
I'm not exactly sure. We've been seeing a lot more Mennonites lately when we've been in Pennsylvania.

I would NOT recommend living in Shippensburg Pennsylvania. People are NOT friendly, my place was burglarized and good quality restaurants are 10-20 miles away . Nothing to see and nothing to do . Sleepy town with little community activities.

I love hearing from people that have actually lived or live in places I film. I only see it for a little bit, but sometimes I can tell it's not somewhere I want to live. It didn't seem that bad, but I'll take your word for it!

Don't. Sounds like a personal problem. Ship is fine.

"Nothing to See" - Our town is very very very old, lots of history here. Are we supposed to have big city amenities? "Nothing to do" - We have the Luhrs Center which has some moderately big bands come (obviously no taylor swift) "little community activities" - This just shows you didn't try. Corn Festival, Shippensburg Fair, First Fridays. "good quality restaruants" - El Mariachi and Monterry Tacos are pretty good, Redemption BBQ is *ok*, not my thing.
