He didnt torqued the clutch and variator nuts to factory specs!!! that's a terrible mistake. He should get the values from the service manual, then use a special tool to hold variator and clutch in place, and then use a torque wrench with the proper values.

I agree. as soon as I see a "mechanic" NOT use a torque wrench, he is a shit mechanic in my eyes. its critical. fucks up the threads over time. use anti seize around housing to loosen easily next time. this guy is a shutty mechanic

@@ronkol28 He is probably a good mechanic, but either a little lazy or he is pressed with a lot of work to accomplish in one day (maybe he has to work on several bikes during the day per his boss direction). Either way, this is not good. Also, as a piece of advice for TravelMoto...if you are going to record a video that it will be seen by the world, please talk to the mechanic first and make sure he will be doing the proper procedure. We have seen another videos from this channel with other mechanics and they did it well.

Well, “should” and “could” are just different by one letter. Mechanics often just use an impact wrench and their expertise. Keep in mind that he is may very much aware of the torques and his wrench. You fastly know how much is enough if you test and measure sometimes how long you impact…

The drum of the clutch my friend,is with light heating not overheating- 600cc-with brake and accelerator the jaws can be melted in less than 2 minutes,maybe where you are only having plains
