A drive from Esperanza to the NAVFAC campus in the southern Vieques National Wildlife Refuge (VNWR). Vehicle is a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, and the camera is a Panasonic DMC-TS2 mounted to a Novoflex suction cup camera mount.

I grew up there. Just wondering why the US goverment won't let people go to the other side of the island. That's were the best beaches,fishiing, and untouched areas in Vieques. I mean really after the Navy "left" natives can't even go back there.

Good points. I don't think the eastern restricted area will ever be reopened. It's pretty much a National Wildlife Refuge. You can access any Vieques beach by boat, but that's an expensive trip or hobby.
