Drive Through Tampa's New Rent-a-Car Center

So that new parking garage they built is for rental cars? What are they gonna do with the old rental car building then? Cause wasn’t it right across street the baggage Carousal exit? They’re also going to get rid of the economy shuttle buses since they opened the shuttle train as well?

The rentals area on the south side of the airport (red side) will become additional long tem parking and additional pick up/drop off. The rental garage on the north side (blue side) will be torn down to make room for future build out of a new D airside. The economy shuttle busses have been discontinued.

Great video for orientation. We´ll only change our rentalcar in Tampa, XCAR from SIXT to a STAR from ALAMO. We´ll go with our SIXT-Car to ALAMO Choiceline, change the baggages from trunk to trunk, very comfortable. Make a roundtrip at the RCC, dropoff the SIXT-car. Going down to Level one by escalator, my wife is waiting for me with the Mustang.

Also very helpfully/convinient for us is the small parrkinglot before the exit for changing our portable transponder from Sunpass to the new rentalcar. A big sign for "GPS Pull Off", what´s the sense? Why shall i switch off my Tomtom-Navi? It´s already knowing the new RCC.
