This is my favorite Try Pod episode, hands down. I love Jonny's energy and humor. I love how they go to 3 places in one episode. I also find the Hannah Montana bit between Miles and Jonny very funny. It brings me a lot of comfort to know what bit will happen next. It may not be the funniest episode, but I have listened this episode, without exaggeration, thirty times.

The pinwheels from raine’s high school are Mexican. Usually its supposed to be served with Tapatio or Valentina hot sauce and/or lime. But I am like raine and like them just like that. But it doesn’t have flavor cuz it’s just fried flour. Chicharrones de Harina.

Sure. Lots of names. Some call them duros or duritos. Sometimes the name is of the shape. I think she spelled out "rueditas" which I think means wheel or wagon wheel. The squares puff up almost like fried pork rinds. I've bought them before and made them at home. They're really easy to make. They typically have a little bit of food coloring so that they're not just white when they puff up. There's also a little bit of baking soda in them to get them to puff up. I've heard the basic thing is to just put them in bags and just douse them with a hot sauce like Valentina or Tapatio and some lime. But some people use Tajin so that it doesn't get all wet and soggy. They're also better warm. And the cost of just frying them at home is way less than a store bought version. I think I was paying something like 75 cents a pound for those in the bulk section of a Hispanic market.
