Yo La Tengo have made many many great and good records, too. Maybe they are not "loved"? Not "American rock"? Still, love Lady DBT and wish they'd come to Europe (again).

HEY PATTERSON! I know this post is 3 years old, so by now you’ve likely hit all states. But I’m here to tell you that’s been all hit and run dear, as far as learning the politics of each area. It IS a good way to see the surface, but to relocate, I wish you and I could talk sometime. You’d enjoy (maybe not enjoy, but be amazed by) our conversation. Did I make a mistake? Depends on who you ask haha! I’d be younger today had I made a different choice ;) You’re the first person I’ve felt inclined to share it with and I’m not getting younger. Told my son I may speak with you. He was shocked! He said “are you shittin me?”! I said no. He laughed, wearing his Momma Ran Off With DBT shirt that he had to explain to me first got it I admit. But I raised him on Dylan, his son’s name. Can’t see well but would rather speak with you anyway. You’d be welcome here son. Of course my last name on here is wrong, but I can be reached here. I THINK I know where y’all hail from but not sure, not far from me. Between here and my home state. Hit me up for some info for some music. Planned to take it with me, but what fun is that? ;) Didn’t edit for my typos which you can expect from an older chick. Came back to say I’m still a country woman, all American, who shares the political views I’m hearing from you guys. Just got too old to fight to good fight. I did in the seventies but see history trying to repeat itself after they finish destroying reminders left behind not to do that! Those who forget are condemned to repeat it so that’s why they’re tearing them down dear. Creating confusion between people who joined hands in the seventies and said we aren’t participating in your political bs anymore! You aren’t using us as pawns against each other as we’ve joined hands and are pulling ranks making more of us than you all the way down to high school level! That was a sight that was supposed to be a national riot day! We DID walk out of school that day, but hand in hand, blacks in whites, teachers and parents disgusted haha! I was young but will never forget. “We won’t be fooled again!” Not sure about this new generation though. Hope they won’t bc only two party system is in the middle class down for division purposes. Not looking like many remember this smh. Oh yes, we have our oil barrens and war mongers in the top, who argue some. They play army with the children of the lowly or unemployed to take what they want, under guise of our nation being under threat. Always have and will have until things change, after I’m gone. I’ve said too much on here and you should know I washed my hands of politics in 1989 to do honest work and pay taxes on what I earned with my 5’2” body. I’m still here haha. I’ve never been a snitch so relocated, different state and occupation, and a new adult education. That’s what you’ll be interested in. Like I moved into the twilight zone! Didn’t think such things existed in America except in movies. Thought best explain myself. Up to you. Think I still have documents to explain. Heck, I’d rather had been taken care of simply being female but I live in the real world. I’m not a hooker. Dad said all wormen are usually. Either they hook several men by the hour one at a time, or one poor sucker, marry him and bleed him for life haha! I decided to be neither, that simpler as that seemed sneezy to me. I’d simply work for my son and my needs. If we needs and if we needed more i’d work more. Had day job, but Christmas time I sang lead at local night clubs bc I was easy on the eyes a voice candy to the ears. Yet. When my legal husband moved to NC for construction, said he went to rehab. I can’t felt responsibility to move to NC to hold our family together.-

What Patterson & Mike are saying is just gold... Always my pleasure to watch these two guys, however Craig - the host - is not really high qulity interviewer.

Hi JPW, I am aware of this. What I meant is rather experience of watching him as an interviewer. No doubt regarding his and Patterson friendship and Craig being a musician. Cheers!

And the Chili Peppers havent put out a killer album in over a decade. That was the point. DBT's albums are all incredible.

American bands with more than 11 albums? Studio albums of original material? The Ramones, kiss, Aerosmith, ZZ Top, Cheap Trick, Jackson 5/Jacksons (don’t), The E St. band, just joking on that last one. Actually not! I figure Green Day is close. Weezer Greg what the hell are you talking about?
@kbuttstadt Жыл бұрын
The point was how many of those albums are actually good?
@vanbarnette8653 Жыл бұрын
That was Patterson trying to make some sense of a ridiculous question. Finn just asked about 11 albums w no qualifier. It’s a minor quibble maybe but he opened w that. So you would think he put some thought into it. Guess not.
@johnnyrocker74955 жыл бұрын
WTF is wrong with the interviewer? There are LOADS of bands with 12 albums or more. FFS.
@mylifeinGA3 жыл бұрын
That was my thought as well. I almost clicked away because I wondered how good can it get if the guy leading it is this poorly informed.
@kbuttstadt Жыл бұрын
The point that was obviously missed was: not many bands have 11 studio albums of their own songs and every album is fucking awesome.
