alvarg its a physics alright they implemented a very simple but very hard to do and if they didn't use this the game will gain +15 frames on the go + they use bullet physics engine this physics engine has 2 version For the game and one for the movies if you ever played beamng it uses bullet physics engine the rival of this physics engine is the havok physics engime they are ( reliable, optimized smooth play, easy to use, and free to use ) but the havok physics engine was bought by microsoft so yeah it will never be free or open to all user unless you pay a royalty so bullet and nvidia will be

The gameplay is brilliant if you give it enough to grow on you, Multiplayer gets really exhilarating at times and the battles are crazy. Plenty of people are still on Driveclub enjoying the experience even today ;)

Kind of late to this but the guy above hit. Also the devs said themselves some players use the cockpit view in which you see the rain. They made the chase cam blurry as well to make it fair in multiplayer races.

Unfortunately they didn't, and they actually shut down Evo instead. What a shame, as Driveclub 2 could be one heck of racer. Driveclub is already a great game, and i think it's part of the reason they decided to close the studio so most people would be deterred to GTS. They even didn't give it a 4K HDR treatment for PS4 Pro? Talk about conspiracy ;)

Phrea Spirit I’m far too late, but you have a few months before it’s kicked off PS store. Single player has a lot actually - especially if you invest in the dlc packs as well. All combined, this game can be cheaper than that of a game like Gran Turismo Sport and yet have more to do in single player. For online, you can compare your leaderboards with others in time trials or even race online. Online racing is merely irrelevant due to it being a near dead game, however when many people still played, it was so fun. Also you can join a club which through levels will grant you some cars.

You have to use handbrake on some cars , yes, others can skid without it no problem, it's a matter of learning the physics and getting used to it, feeling the cars and track knowledge. Drifting in Driveclub is very satisfying.

jonathan booth That's a perfectly reasonable question. Graphically it's probably the best racer out there on any platform. Gameplay-wise, I'd say it's good, but it kind of falls between two stools...one stool being arcade racer, the other being simulation. It's not the best arcade racer, and it's graphically hyper-realistic, but in terms of gameplay it's not a simulator. Another problem is that a large part of the game, the 'club' part, relies on other players being online and willing to join your club. But the few that are there are creating their own clubs, waiting for people to join them. And without a club making progress, certain parts of the game are locked out, which sucks. Verdict: if you want to experience hyper-realistic graphics in a pretty good but slightly flawed racing game, go for it, especially if you can get it on sale. If you want a pure arcade racer, go for Need for Speed. If you want a driving simulator, go for Project Cars on PS4, PC, XB / Forza on XB, or wait for Gran Turismo on PS4.

+nawaz2kx It's 1080p, but by putting 1440p or 4K buffer on KZbin it actually leaves more room for quality visuals. You've never noticed that 1080p on KZbin doesn't look NEARLY as good as normal 1080p gameplay itself on your PC/TV? KZbin compresses like hell. Doing this makes it less obvious.

not so much, visuals looks like FM6 or FH4, but with so many exaggerated effects (which is cool and works well), Well, just looking at a light already shows that it is quite exaggerated, people say that this is to emit our eye, but our vision does not become completely dark when looking at a bright point of light, sure, it reduces the brightness a little, but not as much as Driveclub does, If you look at the rearview mirror inside the beginning of a tunnel, simply because of the brightness your game becomes practically black
