Graphically this game was well ahead of it's time. It was released in October 2014 and even here in 2020 it's incredible. Specifically the lighting and the rain! Holy shit the RAIN. Mindblowing. This had so much potential but we'll probably never see a sequel......how sad.

wbite aye Maybe best lighting. GoW 4 has better graphics. More details in surfaces, textures, and environments. The fact that this game compares to GoW four years later is astounding. The inclusion of these both being PlayStation exclusives is even moreso. It'd be great to see what kind of graphics a monster like the One X could push. Too bad there are no games that take true advantage of that power in the ways Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted 4, and the titles previously discussed do.

MotoG, I dont know If you noticed but, when Sorny closed the Studio Codemaster buy it and save it maybe due its potential. But actually seems its because has a strong resemblance to its Grid Autosport game, same camera effects and 3RD person camera, same kind of driving and gameplay, try to compare both games and looks the same, like DriveClub is a HD next gen version of Grid Autosport! both released on 2014 as well...

Totally. If they managed to get the engine to run at 60fps in stereo (left and right eyes) for Driveclub VR on a base PS4 I can only imagine what they could have done with the extra power of the Pro and a single frame to render rather than two. 1080p/60 was not out of reach.

Best raining effects ever, beats any game, project cars 2 it`s a joke. Even the sounds are great, the sense of speed and camera motion in car, lightning. Sony should let Evolution Studios up and running to make a sequel to this great game. The physics were ok in hardcore mode, at least at this aspect project cars 2 beats it.

Why? if you want open world you can play one of the Need For Speed games or The Crew. Everything has to be open world game these days, which often fail to remotely have the intricate courses that Driveclub has. Much rather have the option of a game like Driveclub but even higher detail on the track layouts than using that just to drive around aimlessly.

To think I bought my PS4 only for this game... Still looks pretty on a small 1080p TV (32 or 45") On my 65" 4k TV, it shows it's age... specially compared to Forza Horzion 3 at 4k.

Abraham Ramirez on a small screen Driveclub looks amazing, but FH3 at 4k looks superb. Take account that Driveclub has closed stages with more elements variety. FH3 is an open world and some áreas may look a little empty sometimes.

This game has ruined me for other racers. I'm playing Forza H4 right now, and don't get me wrong it's a good game but all the cars just sound...lame compared to this. That, and when it started raining/snowing I got really interested ( love rain in games. Don't know why).....and was super let down, because this just set the bar so high for everything. I just wish we could get a second.

FoRiZon All the cars on GT Sport are built from the ground up just like Drive Club but GTs cara are way more detailed, it took 6 months to develop and render 1 car in game so imagine the size of the team to shorten that time frame, plus they have tracks and sounds to record. PD wants the absolute detail with every car and it shows, GT has working odometers (NFS Shift 1 and 2 had it but lets gloss over that), the animations on the digital gauges simulate how they act irl (The Lamborghini Veneno, Huracan and Aventador have a gear counter that has a resize animation when each gear is selected, hell the RX7s have the shift sound in them. The cars aren't ports like GT5 or GT6 everything is being redone. Come on gaming development is hell.

I tried Driveclub about two years ago on my brothers PS4 with a Thriustmaster T150 and the handling is awful in the cars. I get it that it's an arcade racer but even for an arcade racer the handling is awful and almost undrivable
