Cavalcade has been one of my most listened album of "non famous" punk rock bands that made me love every song and since than it brings me back only good memories, I've purchased it, listened thousands of times, and of course, they have a special place in my heart. Long live to The Flatliners!

I agree, i listened to one of the new songs that coming out on their upcoming album and was sadly disappointed. It sounds more like pop punk than anything :(
@REALMozared13 жыл бұрын
@Leftovervictim1991 Well, what would you dub a 'ska song'? They never really made ska songs in the like of the Toasters, Reel Big Fish or Streetlight Manifesto or such anyway. Not sure if they've become that much more rocky over time, and they still have a ska beat in most if not all of their songs.

I was told about this band by one of my co-workers. I just listened to the song "There's a Problem", and then came to this track. Seems like they got more polished and less aggressive. This isn't bad by any means... it's just, I can see why some fans of the band are annoyed by the change.

Honestly, Great Awake and Calvacade are both really great CDs through and through. Destroy to Create had the grit and abandon of youth, but I wouldn't really say it was "amazing." But, I will agree with you that Dead Language doesn't do the preceding albums justice(save for, perhaps, the first track).

@REALMozared I agree. Flats were never a Ska band. They were Ska Punk. Big difference. That's like calling Four Year Strong (pop punk) a pop band. Now, I don't like pop punk bands, but that doesn't mean they're pop.

Exactly. Singles are supposed to be like "slower and more polished". Eulogy was too. Meanwhile In Hell could have been a single. That doesn't mean they've changed so much. Sure, they're not the raw skacore they used to be, but in a way they're much better!

@AlmostaFlipinSkater12 жыл бұрын
Listen to Shithawks and you'll see your wrong. The only reason this is slower is because it's a single and singles are supposed to be the most radio friendly songs on the album. That's why they're called singles. The only other poppy song on Cavalcade is Monumental. Besides that, the entire album is fast and angry. I mean, the opening track The Calming Collection is fast and angry to start up the album.

people grow up, not everyone can be an angry 18 year old all there lives. This song is amazing but that said I'm not sure i love the change personally, but they are just getting a little older and maturing. you don't have to like it, but no need to be ass about it. this is a general defense of an insult i'm sure 16 year old me would defiantly be saying
