Already own this model since 2012, auto 4 speed.

Would you recommend the automatic?

Generally, for smaller engined sedans and hatchbacks, I would go for the manual option, especially if the automatic variant is a 4-speed. Thanks for watching!

The reviewer clearly had no love for this Car! I own one and definitely say that it’s a pure A-B car.. it’s relatively smooth to drive and plenty of room inside.. basically it gets the job done, no more no less

Hi, Bob! You are right - it’s a good car, but not necessarily a fun one, in my opinion. Do you feel that the Almera is a memorable experience every time you drive it?
@bobntege17632 ай бұрын
😂😂 that’s a trick question right? Usually I can’t wait to get to where I’m going

It’s Ok for the price

@bobntege1763 Lol you also have no love for it, bro!😂

For the price, it was good (while they still brought them to SA). However, like many other sedans (that have also been discontinued), South Africans find everything they wanted (and more!) in crossovers and SUVs. It’s a sad reality, but you can see it in the decline of sales of cars like the Toyota Corolla, VW Polo Sedan etc., where people now opt for things like the Corolla Cross and T-Cross/T-Roc, respectively.

Better than the older polo Vivo sedan ?
@drivenautozar Жыл бұрын
Hi, Dallion! To be fair, I’d have to spend more time with one to make a final decision between the two, but the previous Polo Vivo sedan felt like a more refined product. Thank you for watching!

Why does it look different. I thought from 2020, the exterior and interior have been massively changed. How could be this 2023 model?
@drivenautozar5 ай бұрын
Hi, there! For the South African market, that’s what we had as the 2023 model at the time that the video was released. The Almera has since been discontinued for us. Thanks for watching!🙏

I have been driving Nissan Micra and Almera. They were both acting weird with their front suspension. Well-serviced NP300 engine died while on the road🤦♂️ Even if I find any Nissan being sold on 50% off special, I won't bother
@drivenautozar Жыл бұрын
Hi, Moeletsi! That’s shocking, especially because h the cars you mentioned were bought in numbers, partially because they were perceived to be reliable. Thank you for sharing your experience, and for watching the video!🙏

3 yr 90km what if you did reach 90km in 3yrs ?
@drivenautozar Жыл бұрын
Hi, Lusapho. It’s on a “whichever comes first” basis. If you go past the 90,000km before the three years, the plan is finished

The 2024 model is better than this one. This thing is ugly, please review Toyota quest
@drivenautozar Жыл бұрын
Hi, Nkululeko! I hope that we get the new one in SA, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they discontinue the Almera for us. As for the Quest, I would definitely like to also see it on the channel, so the first chance I get, I’ll review it. Thank you for your continued support!!
