The Dream! How are the running costs looking? Always seemed that with all the custom parts, privateering a factory prototype probably requires a whole engineering workshop on standby!😅

A logical assumption but thankfully far more simple than that today. You need a capable and qualified preparer for sure but you could run this over a race weekend with no more than two technicians, probably even just one. And in terms of parts etc, the car is essentially a Lola design, so spare parts are widely available.

Call me crazy, but I'd love to have this and somehow convert it to street-legal use. Or at the very least, buy it, and create a second copy of it, fully street-legal. Amazing car!

@@hancock_sam Yeah, as cool as hypercars may be, the likes of Pagani, Koenigsegg, etc...I find the lack of street versions of actual racing cars (or, at the very least, street cars heavily inspired on actual racecars)...extremely disturbing. I actually wonder if one could register a brand-new Lola chassis (for example) as a kit car.

@@hancock_sam Same. Truth be told, if I had the unlimited money cheat (lol), I'd probably commission Cosworth or Judd or Mahle Powertrain to design an engine inspired by a racing category. It would be a street engine, so born with excellent street manners, reliability, etc. But with the same basic specs. Engine configuration, cylinder heads, displacement, boost...just a slightly lower redline. Or maybe not, if they could adapt a pneumatic system for the valves too, perhaps would be a first for a street car...
