The long corner after the two sets of square speed bumps and before the triangular speed bumps, (which are before the spinners) could be called the 'Carousel' in reference to Sonoma, Watkins Glen, and Road America which have corners by the name of the 'Carousel'. As for the more sharp, bumpy corner after the spinners, that could be called 'Bumpy Bristol'. The big jump could be simply called 'Jumpy' as it makes it ironic how the biggest jump is called something so ridiculous compared to what it actually is. A final idea is for the drop-off 'jump' in the dirt section after the big jump, which could be called 'The Drop Off' in reference to the drop off from Finding Nemo, (ah, the childhood memories). edit: the small chicane before the water section could be called the 'Broken Pipe' or 'Twisted Pipe'.

No official BeamNG cars can have their frames and/or bodies broken in the way that you mean. (Bodies can be ripped off a frame, if it's a body-on-frame design, but not torn in half. only stretched and crushed.) To my knowledge, there have only been 3 mods that have such damage, and 2 of them are so old and unsupported, they no longer work in any way, shape, or form. (Being the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X and the Subaru Impreza WRX 22B) The remaining one that is still supported (I believe) is a mod for the Ibishu Hopper, which makes it a stretched limo.

13:00 looks like the right front suspension is blown. The car dives to that corner when you turn left way harder than it does when you turn right. It seems to still accelerate straight so I'm pretty sure the front right blew out.
@Obi-WanKannabis3 жыл бұрын
Man that rally car has the perfect set up for this imo. mid engine all wheel drive. Which means the radiator wont be sitting at the front taking the hits. All wheel drive with limited slip diffs meaning it will always get traction, lightweight for less strain on the suspension, and rally suspension to take the hits. I think it would've gone much further without that bad launch, but hey thats part of the challenge.

Some suggestions :) Water section: Pebble Beach VVVVVV section before spinners: Washboard Banked with strips after spinners: Karusel Section with jumps between start and water: Stadium Large jump into gravel: Leap of Faith
@VascoCC954 жыл бұрын
The heating is influenced by various things, one of them being the revving of the car. With powerful cars, Alex has more tendency to over-rev thus stressing the engine. He rarely does it on less powerful cars and keeps the revs at mid way on average. This makes a significant difference when the cars are with lots of damage (fuel tank ruptured, radiator gone, etc.) so this explains why sometimes good cars (rallies, for instance) end up being gone as fast as the bad ones. As extra note: The water drastically drops the temperature of the car.
@wardop1234 жыл бұрын

The interesting part about this map is that if the car is low enough, when it goes through the water with a damaged radiator, most of the heat gets dissipated to the water.
@Obi-WanKannabis3 жыл бұрын
Yes, it refills the radiator from wherever its leaking. Thats why the rally car and some others stop overheating after that section. Great stuff, although the leak would need to be huge for such a small amount of time in the water to refill the radiator so much.

The Dragon Wagon just decided to keep on keepin' on. A damn fine showing for a car like that. Good job Alpha! The Crazy Covet from Hell actively wishes to kill its driver... Sticking the driver's head into Thor's Dent Remover didn't work, so it was forced to kill itself in a death roll. Thank goodness you killed it before it leapt through your screen and mauled you. It would if it could... And Fix It Again Tony needs to add another layer of Flex Tape to the tiny blue thing's gas tank, and replace the front Slinkies. Er, suspension.

I'd call the slabs at the beginning "Tables", the dirt humps towards the end "Leap frog" and the last ramp before the finish line "Flying Finish." I also saw someone else suggest "The Angry Carousel" as a reference to the similar corner on the Nurburgring, sans the speedbumps of course.

@Alex - names Spinners - "cheek pinchers" Squares after the water crossing - "low hanging fruit" (because it'll catch anyone hanging low) Or "the ticklers" Triangle speed jumps - "Toblerone bar" Water crossing - "chill crossing" or "chill out" since cars seem to either get cooled off a bit or they get stuck and have to be pulled free giving the engines a break.

A bit late, but a couple of name suggestions... The main straight (across the start/finish line) could be called Conrod Straight, after the main straight at the Mount Panorama Circuit at Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia. Also, because so many engines have overheated during the DTD series, invariably the con-rod bearings are damaged in the overheating process. :) And the jump just before that straight could be called Colin's Crest, after the jump in the WRC Rally Sweden, named after the late, great Colin McRae (R.I.P.), who IIRC set a record for the longest jump in that rally...

With rally style cars in beam, you have to really fight the car in the corners from experience. It's kinda normal to be turning in, then turning away from the apex, only to turn in again. You have to go fast as well. If you bottle it and try to go slow, you'll usually end up overshooting and losing a ton of time. It's hard to explain but you have to aggressively turn the car in, lift and break, then get the hammer down as you sort of slide about all over the place in organised chaos. Its almost like kind of fighting your driving nature cause you actually turn faster and better if you risk it round the corners (not too much obviously though).
