This year marks the 25th anniversary of Driver! I thought it would be nice time to upload the full game of this classic that started it all. This is the PC version which is graphically enhanced over the PS1 version although I do prefer some car designs in the original. I've used the iconic PS1 soundtrack for this video as it's not Driver without it. 🎶 There's been some news about Driver making a potential comeback in some way or another so let's hope we hear more about that soon.

I bet watching the two Reflections dev's revisiting Driver 3 reignited your love for the franchise . I wish we lived in a universe where Driver 3 was never rushed .

That was partly it, but also I realised I didn't have this or Driver 76 uploaded as full walkthroughs like all the other Driver games...so I decided to complete the series. 👍

I got lucky with the final mission...however The Briefcase and Visit to the Mall took me about 20 attempts each 😅

The final mission is way easier on PC than on PS1. They tweaked the mission. It's missing some things like the "taxi barrage" at the beginning of the mission.

Fun fact, the PC version of this game was ported for IOS by Gameloft around 2008, the iOS version feature exclusive soundtracks, improved graphics, but the bad point was the removal of vehicle selection on free ride mode, the body damage take a long time to appear, the difficulty are easier and some missions was cut to fit on IPhone hardware limits.

The iOS version looks good and the new radio stations were a great addition! It should be playable on emulator soon.

I always thought the cop on the radio sounded like Colin Mochrie. Used to play this on PC a bunch back in the day.

Nice, how did you manage to make the aspect ratio for the hud to look like that? I kinda gave up trying to make it look similar lol

I used the Widescreen patch found on PCGamingWiki - worked fine with no issues and corrected the aspect ratio of the HUD.

My love and respect to Reflections Interactive (before now known as Ubisoft Reflections) for this wonderful franchise. Driver 1 and 2 would arguably too advanced for their time for introducing such an in-depth driving game in an open world setting, a pre-3D GTA that will giving a glimpse later on in the PS2 era. Sure the Driv3r and Driver Parallel Lines did not get enough the credits for having such a difficult competitions with their opponents in their time, but still a fun experience albeit its annoying physics based gameplay (especially in Driv3r's missions). Driver San Francisco is good, but I think it kinda lose the charm for the Driver's cool dark tone that somewhat fit to the franchise's aura, but still a fun experience as well.
