Car sounds don't need to be realistic to be good. Games Don't need licensed car models to be good. We clearly see how the cars model from this game are beautiful than anyother. Dont need to have guns or be more violent to be fun. It just have excellent gameplay, history, missions, soundtrack( At day, at night, in pursuit, etc) . Real pursuits. Running watching every corner, scared when suddenly the cops sirens starts. When you look back, you face that scariest destroyed front chasing you. This game smells like pure gasoline. This is Driver. How I miss it. We want some remaster, right?

Some special vehicles actually have true unused engine sounds due to sound limitations and were forced to use other sounds that were already being used by other vehicles on that city. for example the volkswagon van on havana was suppose to have the chicago van sound. if you use cheats and make these vehicles use regular traffic slots they will have their true engine sounds.

Yes! The best part of the game is how you can get in and out of the vehicle. The way you do it is you press the 🔺️ and ⬆️ arrow button on the controller.

@@curtisallred7250 Not to be rude, but anyone who's played Driver 2 knows this. You kind of have to know that if you even want to get past the first mission in Undercover mode, since you have to get out of Tanner's car and into Jones' car at the end of the mission.

what i notice is that all cars have either 3 gears or 4, i think its accurate to the time period, but i think some are inaccurate, especially the cars in Havana, from the sounds it heard like that many sedas have 4 gears, but the cars from 50s had 2 or 3 gear automatics or manuals like Bel Air

The first one sounds so good. I never realized they only used it on that one car. I'm also surprised by the large variety of "big truck" engines. I always thought there was only one. Never would I have guessed there were _four_ different ones. 2:27 - I always disliked this engine sound. Too whiny (especially since it has a great hot rod idle that sounds like a completely different engine). It felt _really_ out of place for the Thunderbird in Rio. 3:12 - This one always threw me off. I like it, but for some reason it always sounded like the engine wasn't being pushed too its fullest. Hard too explain. The loop also isn't perfect and every time the engine drops out for a split second, for me it triggers that sinking feel you get when you car's engine cuts out while driving.
