Driver - Glitches

If you tip a car (probably a police car) over on its side, you can trigger a few glitches by ramming into it:
1) If Car A hits the underside of Car B at the right angle, Car B will be sent flying.
2) If Car A hits the lightbar on the roof of a police car at the right angle, Car A will be sent flying. You can use this glitch to get over the invisble walls surrounding the playing area, or even get on top of some buildings (the buildings you can get to normally and ram into are solid, the ones behind the invisible walls are not).
I activated the invincibility code to make it easier to flip the police cars over without wrecking my own car. And the reason no police cars are bothering me in this video is because once there's a certain number of police cars nearby, wrecked or not, no more police cars will spawn. There are wrecked police cars all over the place in this video.
I discovered these glitches myself, but I'm sure I'm not the first one, as these glitches are quite easy to trigger.

I somehow did this when I was a kid. I rammed a sideways cop car that was up on the wall of a building and I went flying out into the skybox. None of my friends believed me. Now, 24 years later, I finally have the proof

I remember, one time, long ago, I was playing this game and sent a police car flying into the air. I thought it just disappeared so I went on, but then, in the top of my screen, I see this police car slowly flying by like an airplane. I never did find what was left of it, but it did solidify this game's ranking in my head as awesome.

I was doing that back in 1999 when I was 15 and had more free time than I knew what to do with. I would go to school each day and discus with my friends at lunch what all cool shit you could do with it. I had the Gameshark pro which had a button on the side for real time hacking mode, so I was literally modding the game in real time writing codes for it. I loved showing my younger brother how much of a 1337 hacker I was making the felony meter change the text to say my name on screen for him in real time while the game was running. It blew his freaking mind!

I remember going into the sea when I crashed into a wall on survival and 3 cop cars smashed me and I flew over the wall , I was six at the time and it scared me so much when the screen glitched

I randomly remembered glitching in this game. Mine was different, there is a spot, (I was like 10 years old so I don't remember it at all) but I remember there is a spot where you can just drive off, you don't need to jump. And I would go there every time. Man I spent hours playing this game.

I should be ashamed of myself... I played Driver almost entirely for the wacky glitches and free-ride, rarely for the story mode. :D But still, Driver and Driver 2 are some of the things I grew up with... Never forget roof-hopping cars from the funky streets of San Francisco.

I remember doing this when i was a kid. On the survivor gamemode, i think in San Fran, you could drive out to a wall where the police cars would instantly crush you into the wall, and you would be sent flying up really really high, giving you more of a survival time score. ~~Good video BTW, always awesome to bring back memories...

Driver 1 didn't support multiple floors. Driver 2 did. And even then, it was very bodgy. Ugly program code.

hear is another one I don't know if you know but on the same level miami it does not matter wheather it is day or night. When you take a ride and when you first start out . go striaght as if going to lauch off the bridge that same street I think when you are off the freeway its the second light there is a bouliding on the corner and you know where the telephone polls are in that little part that looks like a pitstop area line your car with the outside corner and drive straight into to it (FR)

Driver had so many glitches, you'd think some of them were part of the game. I remember spending my boring days just flipping cars on their sides so I could launch them. Or finding a corner of the level and driving into it really fast to end up outside of the level. Driver 2 was even worse, oh god.

I used to use this glitch, when I wanted to destroy police cars. Just turn your car 45 degree at high speed by using the both hand brake and normal brake. Your car will tilt up one side and chasing car will wreck to the undernaeth of your car then fly out and completely destroyed.

@petr1cech1 Yeah, I just said "probably a police car" in the description because it's more likely that a police car will end up on its side (during a chase) than any other car. Or are you referring to the second glitch (where your own car is launched into the air)? In that case, I didn't know that. I honestly can't remember if I even tried that with another car when I made this video, but I assume I did since I specifically wrote that you had to hit the lightbar on the roof of a police car...

you know there's a much easier way to get out of the map? on san fran, at the very top of the map, theirs a gap beween a wall and a building. I'm sure it was left there deliberatly lol. but all sorts of crazy shit happens in there, everything just turns white and random shit appears all over, but if you drive in there for two long the game freezes. still pretty cool though.

@PhobosRS actully for the pc once you get all the chets you can get out of the level in all stages. just activate the railroad cops and go near a wall close to water or a bulding and they launch you. but add invecibility of your done in one hit

It's not very easy to flip them over on the side. First, you should wreck the police car you want to flip over, then line it up next to a wall (like the police car in the first clip in this video for example), and then just keep ramming into it. Eventually, you should be able to flip it over. You definitely need the invincibility code to do this, though. As for the music problem, I have no idea, sorry.
