Bij het afrijden van het emplacement zie je een grote bak, bij winter weer zal hier een middel op de trein gespoten worden zodat grote sneeuw en ijsblokken onder de trein los zullen komen, de borden met sneeuwvlok met een getal betekend dat de machinist weer de snelheid kan hernemen bij het bord overeenkomstig met de hoeveelheid rijtuigen die de trein heeft, bij de Thalys moeten we het bord met nummer 8 altijd aanhouden

May I ask you, what does mean blue square with snowflake? Assuming, that they are placed near the bridge, I consider, this may be warning about rail more prone to frost like on roads, where are blue milestones like in Czech repbulic

The blue signs with the snowflakes indicate when the anti-icing installation is operating on the train during winter months. Trains run through the anti-icing system with a maximum of 5 km/h only situated at rail yards for departing trains to make the wheels and brakes are free from snow and ice at departure. The number indicates the number of cars have passed the installation, a Thalys trainset has 10 cars, but the 8 passenger cars in the middle are shorter than the regular length of coaches in The Netherlands, so we use the number 8. When we pass number 8 we can increase our speed to 40 km/h and then use the breaks as hard as possible to let excess snow and ice fall out between the brakes and brake discs under the train, after that we can continue our trip to Amsterdam central station.
