This young man's mother kept her cool and as I listen to her speak you can tell that she's a fantastic mother who has brought her son very well. Both of them were very calm and respectful. I think that it's terrible the way this young man was treated. I think that the officers got off much better than they should have. My take on it is this ..... once you are terminated and no longer a police officer that should follow them everywhere, so they can't ever do this again. They also should have to go to anger management classes, so that their anger can never hurt anyone else.

My husband & I were on our way from Cali to North Carolina. We had cruise control so we wouldn't get stopped by the HWY patrol for going over the speed limit. Low & behold, we were stopped by the HWY patrol. He approached the passenger side of the car & said, "You didn't do anything wrong." Yet my husband had to show his driver's license, proof of registration & insurance. He even asked my husband where we were going. Al Rodriguez its not about the college degree..its the training they get....they go threw combat and how to kill and harm...its all about protecting themselves...they can have 10 years of college..but once they go threw the training its all bad after that....they are brain washed to see any and evrybody bad..out to harm them..and half of them that become cops have a bad attitude like they will be superior over a citizen because they have a badge and gun.....it gives them false power over u....things need to change...

Al Rodriguez I know dozens of officers that went through the academy in Gcpd. Book sense does not mean you have common sense all it means is an increase in your pay check. Most never been in a real fight and are truly scared and would reach for a taser, baton, asp or gun depending on the situation. College has nothing to do with this. And Gcpd doesn't teach them to kick people in the head or to punch a man with his hands up in between a door jam. Some individuals are just fools and most likely gotten away with it for a long time. Generally supervisors, judges and the solicitor does not know what occurred until the officer(s) involved writes the report. So now you understand how Sgt. only got caught when the tape came out, he neglected to put that in his incident report.

I'd recommend that they not only sue those officers in a civil suit, but also sue the media outlets for reporting slanderous, false allegations, like saying drugs were involved.
