Joe, I'd love to see a video from you going through your MAXX, all the upgrades you've put in and why you put them in and if they have worked, that'd be awesome! I'm at a point where I've upgraded pretty much everything except aluminum wheel hubs and carriers, and the Vitavon bulkheads, I'm in two minds about those.

Yeah. The aluminum bulkheads are beefy and just won’t break. The aluminum adds weight but the rear bulkhead also helps to dissipate the heat from the motor. So it’s kind of a give and take thing. I’ve had some incredibly bad landings with this truck and it just keeps surviving them.

@@ExocagedRC Yeah I kinda feel that if I upgrade to those bulkheads it'll probably be because I started running it on 6S. At the moment 4S is plenty for me.

I'm still getting air control with belted duratrax lockups. But not as easy as with non belted. 👍👍 Thanks for the video bro

This video couldint of been any better i really needed a video like this i took my maxx out and i wasint landing anything im glad the maxx can take a beating for my rookie lands i was doing today. Now a new body and these tips in mind and i should be set.

Im just new at bashing at this kind of level. I grew up playing with Tamiya RC and you cannot launch them like you can with a Xmaxx! LOL! Have had some bad landing with my Xmaxx as I am a noob at it, waiting on pinion gear because ever since I changed to the 46T Spur I can't keep a pinion in it for more than 1 run. Should get a Bowhouse motor mount too.

If so, then your skills ain't too bad my dude! 😎 Heh, even though I have bought a basher (Team Associated RT10 Rival) earlier this year, I haven't been jumping with it yet. I promise to get some practice in, but now I'm a little bit more into rock crawling. (FTX Ravine (modded), and Outback GEO)

Wait The wheelbase is important too for flip speed! When the car cartwheels in the air Just do a backflip and you will be safe. If you jump in an angle you have to turn the wheels to do a ??corxturn?? Try it in a straight jump an turn the wheel left and right in the air and see that happens. Have fun everyone

Can’t believe you’re using the gt5 instead of the noble for the maxx. You went to the right brand, but chose the old protocol and will be eventually forced to upgrade to the new system anyways.

Stock air control is decent. You power it up and get instant power on/off with a slightly heavier tire and it gets way more responsive.
