jeremeymcdude Yep. And you know what? I think NASCAR knows that, too. They missed out on an opportunity to have Jeff become a 7-time champion possibly going for 8. So to make themselves feel better, they rigged the finish of the Homestead race to put his prodigy, Jimmie Johnson, in that spotlight. In a season where he didn't even get half of the season finishing in the top-10.

His goal isnt to be the king, his goal is to be the best and to be better. He doesnt want to be someone ekse he wants to be Jimmie Johnson not Richard Petty and they arent comparable. Two different time periods. Many different rules and styles and cars so it's not fair to say he'll never be the king and the king had it easy cuz everyone in the kings era sucked.
