Great review Joel. I am also loving this game more than I though would. I especially appreciate how the mechanics of this game manage to convey the tension from the graphic novels and TV show. The fact that it plays so well solo, the first chapter at least, is also a huge plus. Cheers

Worth noting that Woodbury and the core have different size measuring rulers, it's weird but put them next to each other. Great game though.

Damn you Joel. I ended up ordering this, the two main expansions and the scenery pack. I only very nearly managed to avoid ordering all the boosters as well but I fear they will be in my shopping cart by the end of the week. Any plans to review the boosters and are you contemplating creating a scenery table for the game or is that just me?

No plans to review the boosters specifically. I have been eye balling the terrain and a mat from DeepCutStudio that they made to specifically work with it though.

I kind of am more interested in this more now. It was kind of on my peripheral as DoW is our go to Zombie game at present, but I like the thematic elements of this one and we all watch the show... so.... Thanks!

Nice review. Beats screaming into the camera really fast lol Looks like an interesting game and business model if you want to call it that. when you held up the box I thought of X-wing.l I wonder if it's playable outside of the US they have the metric system ; The other thing I'd say is it could've been nice if the characters were molded in a different color from the zombies ala D&D Adventure system board games. it looks liek the best translation compared to other game attempts at the walking dead.

Even outside the US, most (all?) minis games use inches. I have no idea why, but they do :)

Hi Joel, off topic here but are you doing a review of Rogue Stars? I am about to get frostgrave after watching your review but you mentioned Rogue Stars and I think my boys might like the space theme better. Any thoughts?

I didn't really care for it unfortunately. I do like the look of Scrappers from Osprey, and I've also been enjoying Shadow War from Games Workshop. Both are more sci-if versions of this style of game.

I've not played LNOE (I want to. Looks fun). I've only played the original incarnation of Zombicide which I didn't like at all. I understand it's improved a lot with Black Plague etc... Sorry I can't be more comparative!
