Driving along the Arima Blanchisseuse Road - Trinidad and Tobago

A compilation of video clips from driving along the Arima Blanchisseuse Road. This was made heading along to the Trail head that would kick of the Three Waterfalls Circuit.
The Arima Blanchisseuse Road that navigates its way through the Northern Range Trinidad is one of the most beautiful drives that one can undertake in Trinidad. Sometimes there are cyclists who also cycle along the roads twists and turns as it winds its way along the mountains side.
It is perhaps the only road in Trinidad and Tobago that can boast access to many of the countries beautiful waterfalls and hiking trails. The road cuts through an area that attracts nature lovers, hikers, bird watchers and explorers.
This road gives access to trail heads for hikes that lead to: Sapphire Waterfall, Marianne Gorge, the two Marianne Waterfalls, Avocat Waterfall, Mystery Pool, Virgo Waterfall, Three Sprouts Waterfall, Lalaja Waterfall, Madamas Waterfall, the Avocat Waterfall to Three Pool Circuit and many others yet to be explored. it also leads to the Las Lapas Lookout which offers spectular views of the mountains.
Depending on you destination you may have to choose between driving on from the North Coast Road in the Blanchisseuse District or from the Arima District.
The moss covered walls on the mountain side are beautiful to look at whilst driving and gives the impression of journeying into the unknown. As we make our way along the road into the mountains we pass the christophine fields that climb the mountain sides and descends into the valleys. It shows one just where the christophine that is found in markets and grocery's come from. there are also several sharp twists and turns that leaves you holding your breath the first time you drive there.
Due to the foliage and the heigh the road always greets you with a cool, damp, misty and moist atmosphere.
