Quick question I´m looking into buying a new car and this car is one of the cars I´m looking at. A thing that bothers me about some cars that I can not stand is a soft/ to easy steering. (same for the brake pedal) How does it feel on the 430i? My last car was a Honda Civic Fn1 (´08) wich had a very percise steering and braking feel, wich I really liked. (a reason I´m also looking at Fk8´s wich I´d guess have a similar feel) On the other hand I have to drive the Opel Corsa (2015) from my parents sometimes. It has a too easy brake pedal wich feels like 2 settings (slight braking and emergency braking lol) and the steering is really lightweight/to easy. (doesnt feel precise) What categorie would you put the 430i into? (sadly I didnt get to drive one yet, thats why I´m asking) Thanks in advance! 👋

I think 430i is definitely a step up from the Corsa. The steering has more weight and feels way more precise, especially in Sport mode. It won't be as sharp as your Fn1, but it’s far from being too soft or light. Also, the brakes are nice, balanced and precise too, not mushy. Personally i believe 430i lies perfectly in a modern daily with looks and raw road feel. I was surprised with it's torqy B48. What a pleasant sound and performance. If you get a chance, take it for a spin and see how it feels. I think it's exactly what you need!

Did you find the steering a bit vague? I had 2 and it was the ONLY thing I wasnt keen on. My 2015 was particularly bad.

What do you mean by vague? It's not super crisp as i would like it but it does the job well enough i believe. Unless you take it out on track.

@@Driveswithsyed I mean holding a straight line. I bought a 2015 from a BMW main dealer 2 years ago with 80k miles. The steering was borderline dangerous on a 435d X Drive 435d M Sport. I sold that and bought a 2018 coupe 435d x drive M Sport that was marginally better. As a comparison I have put over 150k on various Vauxhall Insignias and they have been perfect. I was shocked how sloppy the steering was on the BMWs for cars that could do 0 to 60 in less than 5s. Just my experience.

@@totallyrandom3610 depends on what you're looking for. If you're only into mid-luxury sedan then get a 418i. Although if you're into performance and mid-luxury, then don't get anything below 430i. I think if you're getting a 4 series, get 430i and above.

I have a used 2015 420i SE Grand Coupe, its probably one of the best all round BMW's since I started owning and driving them in 2000. Its sleek, comfortable, well equipped, the 8 speed auto box makes it a pleasure to drive and is fast enough for UK roads and traffic. Its a car you just want to get into and drive.

You're absolutely right. These f30s are the best all rounder bmw's if you want a daily but with some soul. Everything is on point.
