Driving around Great Falls, Montana

Spent 4years there 1948 to 1954. A small town with a smelter and several neat bars. I remember when the 10th avenue bridge opened.

I was living in great falls Montana from 87 to 2008 so much change over the years that I have not been there and I still remember my home street address there too

I lived there for two years, my ex loved MT so I made the move. It was totally different I couldn’t adjust to the slow lifestyle. Now I miss the fresh air, the tranquility, the smell of the earth when it rains,the courteous kind people. The fact that it’s not dog eat dog there.

Looks exactly the same from 20 years ago when I was stationed at Malmstrom AFB....that town is stuck in time....cool music...thank you for taking me down memory lane!!!

Good ol Great Falls. I remember not wanting to go at all when my job sent me. Hated the idea of staying there for 6 months. But once I got there, I loved it and didn’t want to leave at the end. The military base made the area surprisingly diverse and fun. Even the food spots were good! Went to the local clubs, bars (12:20 the mermaid spot was a regular lol), restaurants, and dance halls and had a damn ball there. I would absolutely love to visit again some day. Very cool little town.

Hello from Scotland, I was in Great Falls in 82 when in the British Army, loved it, doesn't look like it's changed much.

@@shelbynichols3457 Well I liked it all these years ago, not a bad thing Shelby, great memories. A bunch of us rented a station wagon (rent a wreck), it was big as a bus, we visited everywhere, got drunk and had a ball. Young guys having fun a long way from home. Grant.😎

Awe, my peeps are from there! I remember 10th ave south, saw a little of the north side, missed Central Ave. Where is Great Falls High or CM Russell High? melancholy, and bittersweet! I love my memories from Great Falls!

I went to high school at cm Russell class of 00 left soon as I got outa school and visited in 06. Might hafta take a trip up there this summer kinda miss the place😂

When you turned left from 9th Street onto 1st Avenue South, you could have gotten a traffic violation. In Montana, you must turn into the closest lane and then change lanes. Ask me how I know.... You got lucky! :)

They are viewable from the city. You can see the Highwood Mountains and the Rocky Mountain Front. It's kind of like Denver

There's so many great things, in and around Great Falls, but I CONSTANTLY hear nothing but BAD things about it. People that have been here a while ... HATE it! People 'NEW' on the scene ... LOVE IT! Go figure.
