Driving around Sidmouth

Drive from Woolbrook down to the town centre, across the sea front and then back up to Exeter cross. May 2010.

I'm from austria and when I was young I went there to a language school every summer with other kids from different nationalities.. I loved it.. Now I'm 35 and every time I see videos from sidmouth tears are coming down :( it was still the best time of my life..

I wonder how fast they drive those narrow street. I did nearly collided some blue Citroen which came down Temple street - Vicarage road, I was coming one B&B parking lot to Vicarage road. That happen 19 years ago. My reason of course, I'am more accustomed continental traffic and car was rent and gearbox bit tricky to me. Greetings from Finland

may i ask u how far is it to walk from the byes to town pls?

***** Depends whereabouts you are in the Byes. The bottom end of the park near the old toll bridge is only about a 5 minute walk but if you're at the top end it could take over 45 minutes.

***** Lymebourne Park to town will take you through some of the very best areas of the Byes. I would say about 20-30 minutes walking time depending on abilities. Moving from Seaton to Sidmouth sounds like a good move! I hope you enjoy the new home :)
