MYy father was born there. spent a lot of summers in High Rock and the Bluff. I still have family there. Beautiful island..

Hi, I never been there. Is there a lot of empty beaches? I don't mean on the back of resorts, just places you can pull up and walk down to the beach and just chill there with no one in sight. I have been to Eleuthera, Exuma, Cat Island and Long Island and all of them were like that. I hate to get there and have to cut through resorts and little walkways through private residences to get to the beach... I want to know if I should go there next week or just play it safe and head to Eleuthera which was my favorite so far...Thanks!

South Andros is quite similar. Lots of spots to relax on the beach without being bothered.

In fact there are more than a lot and they are empty with lots of coconut trees you can enjoy the refreshing drink
