I was in Houston a little less than 2 weeks ago. Driving there was incredibly aggressive and felt more like a rat race with people aggressively tailgating. I'd still take driving in Houston over El Paso driving any day. Other than driving, it was a nice city with a lot of diversity and amazing food. I hope to visit again soon.

@@JakeThompson-u9s I live in DFW now after wanting to be closer to friends and family. Surprisingly, people are much more polite than they were in Phoenix while driving. I was surprised at how many people actually let you in, except maybe some that don't. Drivers seem less reckless than they were in Phoenix. The roads definitely are much more narrow and more twisty. They do drive aggressively though, but I think Phoenix was more aggressive. I was in Houston not long ago, and their drivers reminded me of Phoenix drivers. What gets me here is the insane amount of traffic. The commute times are almost as long as in LA, but not as bad. I'm still adjusting to stand still traffic that barely moves. I drive mostly in the Frisco/Plano areas.

31:05 - Texas is very strict with the speed limit that is why many Texans follow the speed limit. Cops will catch you even if you go 2 or 5 above the speed limit. Texas is very different from Californian Freeways where almost everyone drives 5-10 above the limit and the cops don't care. Going 10 or more that's when California cops will start to catch you.

If you drive through Houston again coming from that direction, you should take IH10 to 610 south down to 59 east then back to IH10 lol it’s a better view of pretty much all the heavily infrastructured areas :) you’ll drive thru energy corridor/memorial city, uptown/galleria/river oaks, greenway plaza, the montrose bridges (beautiful at night), med center (seen from 59), and travels along east downtown.
