I don't think roads like this have changed since the 1950's. You can't imagine how much I miss them, having spent most of my adult life in Central Illinois. Now, for giggles and grins, imagine being in a late 1950's car, going 50 to 70 mph and coming around one of those turns, only to see a farmer crossing his dairy cows somewhere in Sussex County many years ago. If you've never driven one of those old cars, you can't imagine how much they would lean over; or how poor the brakes and tires were in those days; or how long it took the adrenaline to settle back down; or what it was like to wonder if the car would even stop in time. The cars we have today are better than most of the race cars back then. After Viet Nam, I enjoyed those roads in a 1967 MBG and a Honda motorcycle. I still remember how amazed I was years later to look up at the suspension and new designs of these modern roadsters. Enjoy your roads - just be careful.

Awesome! I need to get back up there. It's been too long. It's so beautiful.
