I know that San Francisco has problems with housing and drugs and homelessness (what American city doesn’t). But listening to some people you would think the city is a nightmarish hellscape like The Warriors. Videos like this paint a different picture.

As a European it’s weird how nobody is walking on the streets in downtown. There’s some beautiful pre war skyscrapers and tall buildings but it’s absolutely dead, no people anywhere.

SF has been declining since COVID hit, 74k people left since 2020, downtown isn’t booming anymore, huge shame because it’s one of the most beautiful downtowns in the US

yep zombie apocalypse. all the homes are abandoned just like the youtube videos bashing this city all over the internet say All the streets are covered in feces homeless everywhere everyone has left and it's about to fall off into the ocean any day now. every single resident business has moved a way even the animals are gone. No one i will ever visit it again . people look at videos and believe what they want to i guess.😂

It’s the weekend you can tell from the traffic on the bay bridge. During the week, the bay bridge is basically a parking lot. It would take at least 45 minutes to cross the bridge

The video was shot in the morning (look at the position of the sun/direction of shadows), and probably on a weekend as well, judging by how quiet downtown SF and Oakland looked. That's why it looks empty.
