Hello from New Zealand. Great video and you are 1000% right it is the Albulapass. There are lots of good train video about this route. But the most interesting thing about this road is in winter they close it from Preda to Bregun for sledding. They even allow the loonies to travel down at night, that's why you see posts with lights. There is some videos on KZbin. All I can say about comments from Brain is if you are worried about SUV driving don't try to drive in Italy you will have a heart attack. Again great video. Interesting, The Albula from La Punt to Bergun has the features of a pack horse or mule track, that is, places for shelter ,feed, and welfare for the animals and packmen. However the road down from Bergun to Alvaneu Bad where you did a right turn had no such facilities suggesting the pack route is not the Albulastrasse. and that this route in the 1950's was 'improved' for the Alpine fortress. If I where a policeman, the silver SUV you followed would have made me suspicious of the drivers condition, could not keep in lane, over braking at most bends , too much vino or partially blind!
