This is a regular, daily commute route to Jackson Hole, must be tough sometimes.

How did you keep your vehicle from going too fast on the steep downgrades? About what speed were you traveling going downhill? Were you in a 2 or 4 wheel drive, or all wheel drive vehicle? Any pointers on how to drive this road in winter like you did here? Sorry for all the questions but I am going to have to go this road in Feb 2023 and have only driven on snowy roads that were flat - and not much of that.

For this specific road called the “Teton Pass” locals generally drive a four wheel drive vehicle with good winter tires, keep a good distance from other vehicles and adjust speed to the conditions. When the road is dry it is a way easier drive, many people don’t even bother in a major snowstorm:). Downhill speeds vary between 20-45 miles per hour. Good luck for your trip!

I'm not excited to take the START bus twice a day on the pass. I feel like it's pretty much signing a death waiver by the way people talk about it.
