@@ldmun Because cars in GTA V are fast (including air vehicles), and every update Rockstar drops an even faster car than the ones in previous update. This is why GTA IV felt big and GTA V felt small even though GTA V's map is obviously bigger than GTA IV.

Nah i was saying the same but then i understood the physics on suspension and all were over abused, it's not satisfying in other words exept when crashing specially with that big 4×4 it's literally a monster truck love it, the perfect driving in my opinion is a mix between gta4 weight and gta5 while still being very realistic i hated gta 5's driving it was way too arcady for me, i'll say forza horizon is good but maybe a bit weird imagining it in gta

Most of these worlds are quite small, generic and boring by today´s standards. The trick is in filling the world with activities, so the player will not notice the smallishness, but in modern open-world games, this is often overlooked and worlds are made too big for their own good, but they´re also left empty, with repetitive activities. The worlds are also done in some sort of a checkbox style. Like: "Windmills - check. Sand desert - check. Forest - check. Highway - check. Positioning of those biomes doesn´t often make any sense either.

nah to be honest.... they are not very good. Black Monday improved upon lot of things compared to the first game but there was always this feeling of an unfinished game. Story was pretty good tho

I really enjoyed the first one, the story was great but the mechanics were clunky. The second, Black Monday, was a let down for me, I finished the game wayyy. To quickly with no challenge, but I loved the music and the improvement in the mechanics.

@@douglasgilbert1597 the driving mechanics do take longer to get used to in The Getaway but it is possible to deal with it. Btw I noticed in the getaway 1, if you kill someone and walk through their blood puddle, you will have a trail of bloody footprints. In Black Monday though, that little detail is missing but I think if you hit someone with your car in Black Monday or the first game, it leaves a bloodmark on it.

In Black Monday, you could do that but in some levels, there were healthpacks marked around the map and if you went up to them and pressed triangle I think, the character would heal. Idk if that was in the first game though

Man, when you see *mainline* GTA games past, say GTA 2, it's just always a different level of polish. All the other open world games look like they're struggling under the limitations of the hardware; GTA games look like they're running on tech from 20 years into the future.

They also give you a lot of freedom to roam freely instead of always getting into random conflict. Any other game gives you random conflict while you're roaming the map like an NPC.

I seem to keep coming back to this video. As much as I enjoy seeing al these games compared breifly back to back, the soundtracks.. Man the soundtracks!!! I wonder how big this list could actually be in total as I have played most of these but this list is far from exhaustive. That driving music from the first gta brings back memories and Vice City. Some of my favorites were Interstate 76, Mercenaries 2 World in Flames, Max Max (Thunderpoon for the win), Borderlands series, RAGE, and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands. Then there are some online MMOs, like Crossout and APB. Then there are the survival games like H1Z1 and 7 days to die, Call of Duty, Arma Series. Man there are so many more.

So happy to see Simpsons hit and run on here still love that game today, and imo each vehicle felt different to drive big trucks felt slow and difficult to turn while vehicle’s like the hoverbike felt so light to drive around- the Laramie f1 car is a joy to drive really fast great handling just a shame it’s not very tough and can get destroyed in a few crashes

The physics of the original Driver still blows me away. Especially with the "freight train" glitch. Despite the "floatiness" of GTA IV's driving physics, it's far superior than GTA V. Hell, the the entire game is superior to V.

Возможно, я первый, кто оставил комментарий на великом и могучем.. Хочу заметить, что физика авто в играх хороша по своему. Да, Юбисофт и Рокстар и Илюзмон (Мафия 1) в плане авто молодцы.. Всё ещё приятно поиграть в Старые ГТА, Драйвера или Сторожевых псов (кроме WD3). У компаний приемлемо сделано управление. Не хочется бросить джойстик в экран. Жаль, что автору видео не знакомы:Дальнобойщики 2, ETS, Spintires и Dirt rally... Хотя, может эти игры сюда бы не вписались.. Пишу как опытный геймер, за плечами не мало автосимуляторов. Автору лайк, удачи с переводчиком ;-)
