Fascinating drive. I do like the old Glasgow tenements, they were so much more visually pleasurable than the slab sided glass faced horrors that replaced them. Grand video much enjoyed. Keep them coming. How about Kelvinbridge? Thanks. Rmb 5*

Fantastic video. At 16.48 minutes yo pass the house into which my family moved in 1957, then brand new 'A home of your own' by John Lawrence. The gardens had nothing in them. My father bought cobble stones to make paths they came from Clarence Drive when the tramlines were lifted. Changed days indeed...

Nostalgia for me as I lived on Gt Western Rd just west of the cross for the first 25 years of my life up until 1971. Quite a few changes including the old Knightswood Bus Garage now flats and the Temple area greatly changed. My old hacienda is still there but as you didn't drive along Gt Western Rd between the Cross and Munro Place you missed the best part of the area ! Thanks mate, much appreciated.

Really miss going to Gillespies for meat and rolls. Miss going a take away from i chai as the food was delicious! My fave was salt and chili prawns with curry sauce and rice. Had a few pints in BJs on the corner... Sooo many happy memories!

Great memories of attending Anniesland College, the Chinese restaurant on Cris Riad where you could get a beer after the pubs closed. The Esquire House, Knightswood Secondary, attending a BBQ dance sat the Glasgow High school grounds. The miner’s cottages behind the bus station etc👍

Lived in Temple (North Anniesland) for almost 25 years. Not posh maybe, but fine. The tenement flats are twice as big inside than they look. Proper box rooms instead of measly cupboards. And the canal was a godsend during the covid lockdowns (when driving other than to a supermarket was quaisi-illegal) (ie for a Sunday stroll).

These houses once formed real neighbourhoods. Now they are marooned, places with no identity. At the end of the day the shopkeepers pull down the metal shutters down. Just the endless stream of cars.
